Nando's Essendon Fields — Restaurant in Melbourne

Last week, my wife and I decided to have lunch at Nando's. We ordered the Avo Go Wrap, Peri Peri Chips, and a Sprite on the side.

The Avo Go Wrap was fantastic. It featured a Superfood Veggie Patty accompanied by avocado, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, smoky capsicum relish, and vegan PERinaise. Each bite was a delightful mix of fresh, vibrant flavors and textures. The patty was well-seasoned, and the combination of vegetables and sauces made it a standout item. The avocado added a creamy richness that perfectly complemented the smoky relish.

The Peri Peri Chips, as always, were a highlight. They were perfectly crispy and seasoned with the signature Peri Peri spice, offering a deliciously addictive flavor that kept us reaching for more.

The Sprite was a standard, refreshing addition to our meal, providing a nice contrast to the spicy flavors of the wraps and chips.

The ambiance at Nando's was pleasant, with a clean and welcoming environment. The decor was modern and comfortable, making it a great spot for a casual lunch. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal.

One of the best things about Nando's is the variety of free sauces and salad dressings available. They offer options ranging from mild to very hot, catering to different spice preferences. This extensive selection allows you to customize your meal and add an extra layer of flavor to your food. The availability of these sauces enhances the dining experience, making it more enjoyable.

The food at Nando's was fresh and well-prepared. The vegetables were crisp, the wraps were made to order, and the chips were hot and perfectly cooked. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, contributing to the overall quality of the meal.

Our lunch at Nando's was thoroughly enjoyable. The Avo Go Wrap and Hot One Wrap were both outstanding, and the Peri Peri Chips were as delicious as ever. The variety of free sauces and dressings is a notable feature that adds to the appeal of dining at Nando's. Combined with the fresh food and pleasant ambiance, it's a place we would highly recommend for a satisfying and flavorful meal.

I like the nando's sauce on my chicken when I cook it - good flavours, but this shop needs a lot of changes if they want to stay in business. Chicken was black, dry and tough. Diarrhoea kicked in 24hrs later for both me and the mrs, but I suppose you can't expect much better when you have qualified dish washers controlling stock and manning the grill. Floor staff rude & arrogant, demeanour as if they are working at a fine dining restaurant, they are better than you... lol. Owner needs to remind staff It's nando's in essendon fields, not vue de monde on collins street. I wouldn't even classify it as a restaurant tbh considering the amount of microwaving taking place to plate up an order.. It really is just a fast food franchise serving take away chicken... badly. owner might consider employing at the very least a qualified cook for the dinner service, and perhaps take a business course themself. Learn how to run a business properly, in particular customer service and food handling.. I owned a successful actual restaurant for 15 years, my staff were very welcoming and professional. Staff attitudes generally mirror the owners/managers, so no doubt the problems will remain. People that buy food franchise businesses generally have no idea about business and absolutely no creativity when it comes to cooking, which is why they use someone elses brand and menu hoping to make a dollar. Worst experience ever when I tried to order takeaway, first time I ordered they said to come in 15 minutes when I got there my meal wasn't ready so I told them I will pay for it first and come back in 5 mins. When I came back they were still trying to charge me for my meal when I already paid for it plus they got my order completely wrong I was not happy at all so I asked for my refund and I left. Then the second time I ordered I thought ok maybe it's not going to happen again, I ordered my food the same lady took my order over the phone, this time she told me it will be ready in 10mins- I came half an hour late to make sure my meal will be ready by the time I get there- guess what? I got there and the lady who took my order would not even go near the register she went hiding from me- this young girl served me and first thing I asked her is my meal ready? The young girl asked the lady in the back of my order is complete and she said no - I got pissed off coz they stuffed up again so I told them I'm not going to pay until it's ready and I left. That's the last time I'm ordering from Nandos Essendon Fields! - if ur going to order takeaway in the future - make sure u go in store and order face to face coz the lady who answers the phone is...
