A Hidden Gem Worth the Detour – New Favourite Indian Spot in Melbourne! My partner and I have been saying for five years that we’d try this place. We drive past it every few months, make a mental note… and then forget. Today, we finally made the trip — and while it’s slightly out of the way, it’s absolutely worth it. The food was phenomenal. We ordered a few of our favourites —including Aloo Gobi, samosas, and Kashmiri rice — and every single dish was packed with flavour. It was one of those meals where you don’t want it to end, the kind that makes you slow down and just live in the moment.
On top of the amazing food, the customer service was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and attentive — you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure you had a great experience from start to finish.
Safe to say, we won’t be sleeping on this place again. It’s officially my new favourite Indian restaurant in all of Melbourne. A...

The food had a wonderful mix of textures and flavors, especially the green spinach curry, as seen in the photo. The beef lentils were a great addition to the other curries, including the three-lentil dahl.
There was a good selection of rice, and the one I chose did not disappoint. It had the perfect texture and the right additives, making it both delicious and well-suited to complement the curries.
The customer service was genuine and thoughtful. They don’t allow outside drinks, the staff kindly offered to store my drink in their fridge until the end of my visit, which was a great touch.
The restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol and also has an outdoor area. With a river just across the road, it’s a perfect spot for a fantastic Indian feast...

From location, comfort and cleanliness, service and delicious food this was a great all rounder.
Greeted by the friendly waitress we were sat in a well set and clean table. The venue is surprisingly spacious and warm with enough distance between tables to prevent hitting the person behind you.
Service was quick to take our orders and we ordered our entrees in the samosas, the lamb tikka and the fish pakora. These went so fast I didn’t get a chance to take a pic! Just tasty and with fresh ingredients.
For the main we ordered the vindaloo prawns, lamb Dahl, butter chicken and chicken biryani with sides of keema, garlic and aloo breads.
There was absolutely nothing to fault and for the amount of food the prices were reasonable by comparison.
We left full, happy and with a little extra for tomorrow.
Thanks to all of the team here at Nardee, we will be back to try more of...
