I had a coffee and pastie, which were both delicious BUT when I ordered I was given a buzzer and told when everything is ready it will buzz. I went outside and waited near the window. The buzzer went off and I went to the window and my coffee was there. I said 'is there a pastie with that?' to which was said 'I only do coffees' so I went inside and approached someone behind the counter and began to ask, to which I was abruptly told ' I'm serving someone else'. (I wasn't aware of this). A customer then said to me in front of everyone 'you are bucking the system'. I was made to feel like a selfish person pushing in in front of everyone. I was given my pastie and then went outside to have it.P

A simple apology in front of the customers from a staff member while this was happening would have resolved this. I know the staff are young and likely inexperienced, so maybe some training on how to handle situations that are out of the normal would be good. Eg the coffee girl could have tried to help me without me having to go back in or the guy behind the counter saying ' I'll just be a moment'. UPDATE: The owner followed up in detail to ensure this doesn't happen again, so have...

This is just the most lovely place to come any time of year. Located on the river side of Warrandyte, with an enormous playground that will excite any kid (let alone parents), it’s a must visit if in Warrandyte. There is a covered shelter for dining outside as well as a large area covered by large umbrellas that offer a lot of cover in the wet but still not 100% dry. Options of food are abundant with croissants, lemon tarts, donuts, pies, sausage rolls and so much more. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate available. The ‘bakery’ is a well known spot for school kids come to after school for a play and a bite to eat before heading off to swimming, Sport practice or wherever. Dogs are welcome - they are welcome anywhere in Warrandyte. Note the lovely mosaic chair made by local artisans. Plus the old water trough. Access to the river is through the archway and is only 20 metres away. Beware of snakes here in the warmer months. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Good parking out the front on Yarra Street as well as a car park down below near playground which you can access via a road only a 20 metres east...

I always thought that in the takeaway food business .if a customer wants ice cream in there iced coffee they get it.if a customer want vegemite in there ice coffee they get it.who are you to tell us that you have decided not to put icecream in peoles iced coffes.? I think that you have forgotten one important thing about running a takeaway business. And that is you need customers. Why you may ask.well lets see if i can think of a few reasons...... Customers pay yours and your staff wages. -Electricity and gas bills. -rent -water _wood -bank loan. With us you and you busness is worth absolutely NOTHING Get it.?????? Lets see when the next time that come in and ask for icecream in my iced coffee if i get it or not.if i dont.you will have lost and two customers. But who cares right ! because you know better .It's...

First time going to the iconic Warrandyte Bakery finally and I bought a Banana Blueberry Muffin, which was $3.60. It was quite good, a bit too sugary for my liking and I didn't taste much banana. Staff was nice and friendly and the little indoor bakery and payment area was casual, traditional and cosy. Not many afternoon savoury snack breads when I went at 4.30, but there were pies and sweet baked goods. Nonetheless, I didn't really care about the flavour though because it was more for just an afternoon snack after my Warrandyte River Reserve walk. The outdoor seating area was the best part with a lovely riverside and bushy view. Great seating options for large groups, individuals, families, friends, coffee dates and more.

The Bakery Warrandyte is a delightful spot in the scenic riverside town of Warrandyte. Situated by the river, it offers a tranquil setting to enjoy a range of sweet and savory snacks. Their menu boasts an array of tempting treats, from flaky pastries to hearty savory snacks, catering to various tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for a croissant or a sausage roll, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The bakery's warm ambiance and friendly staff contribute to a pleasant dining experience. While it's not perfect, The Bakery Warrandyte is definitely worth a visit for its tasty offerings and charming location by the river. Four stars from me!
