NeNe Chicken — Restaurant in Melbourne

The food is OK.

The staff was a bit arrogant. I visited couple of days ago and while making the order, i felt the counter staff to be uninterested. It was like i was talking to a zombie.

I asked about the sauces and condiments and was told that the large box (8 pieces) comes with 1 coleslaw, 1 raddish and 1 mustard sauce only.

I was told that if I need more condiments, I would need to pay. It didn't make sense since the 4 piece boxes also come with with 1 coleslaw, 1 raddish and 1 mustard sauce. I asked why would i get 1 of each if I am getting a large box (with double the number of pieces). Ideally I should get 2 of each instead of 1. I was given a flat no and was told to order if I want. After trying to understand the reason why I would not get the extra condiments if I am buying a large sized box with double the pieces.

Anyway, I ordered two original boxes (4 pieces) with 1 coleslaw, 1 raddish and 1 mustard sauce to come in the box, for more price than the large one. When I finally pickedup the order, I asked if they had added the mustard sauces and was assured yes. When I brought the food back home and there were no sauces at all.

Come on man .. I spent 5 minutes of my time to ask you why I couldnt get the sauces in large, and paid more to get two separate small boxes and still did not get the sauces. The staff was arrogant and uninterested in providing good customer experience.

I was there to order egg tart from the Hokkaido. The female sales gave me the worst experience ever Nobody is at front serving, they all chatting at the back. No greeting or smile, the first sentence she said is: what do you want? I asked for box she said only if you order 6 pack, then she asked if I need bag and I replied yes. She did not give me the carry bag and when I asked for it she said I did not order and she point at each of the paper bag of individual tart as the bag she gave. And she asked for 20 cent extra for a carry bag and I paid. She throw the 4 tarts I ordered to the table and the whole time her facial expression and attitude was really bad and I did asked to speak to the manager and she simply called up a male coworker and lied about that’s the manager. Went there and ordered a large boneless box, some chips and 3 ribs. They gave us the order in a tiny plastic bag and the chicken coming in two separate boxes, one burger box a regular sized burger and chip box (two flavours) pickled radish in the larger one and no coleslaw. Not the large square container it usually comes in other branches. The portion size was obviously significantly less than what other branches serve. I was confused and went back to ask about it and was told, other customers complained about the big boxes. Absolutely stupid excuse. Food was fine, but was essentially scammed, paid $37 for 8 small pieces of chicken. $49 altogether. Not coming back, some higher up needs to get down here and fix it up cause it doesn’t seem like we’re the only ones...
