Noodle Box Port Melbourne — Restaurant in Melbourne

They were effing rude! My Dad and I spent about $40 on the crispy pork fried rice tonight. Got about 2/3 of the rice you would expect. But no crispy pork! They instead threw a few pieces of the pork belly you get from the Thai noodle dish. I was suspicious when we collected the meal and suggested Dad check the boxes. As we were given regular noodle box containers. Where I was expecting to see the tubs with transparent lids. Dad’s too nice sometimes and ushered me to just accept it. The disappointment occurred at home. I said we should go back. Dad again ushered me to just accept it. Having not eaten enough for my dinner. I ended up cooking up some frozen fish.

Later after dinner. I went for my nightly walk and decided to confront the store. I asked to speak to a Manager. Was told there weren’t any there. I tried explaining what the problem was. They turned their backs and ignored me. I wasn’t angry nor aggressive in my approach. I simply wanted to speak to someone about things. A few customers heard me speak. Saw how the staff reacted and walked out.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Which is a real shame. As this store has changed hands several times over the years. Regardless of anything. They have always kept the food quality up. I was going to take photos of our meals. But listened to my Dad and chose the path of empathy…

I guess it’s a sign that it’s time to try...

Will not recommend this place to anyone in fact there are better options on Bay st then this place order food at the kiosk and it said 15mins so I went to pick up a few things from coles came back past the 15mins cooking time the old Chinese man chef eating fired chicken and ask if I was a uber eats delivery guy ... I said no So I waited and other customer order food, I ask the girl where is my order as it's been 15mins already she said it coming so I waited again and more uber eats order are being made instead of my order then he just threw everything in the pan and made very fast then as i my order was finally made she asked if i wanted a bag obviously i need a bag to carry the food in ,it looks like she didn't want to give me a bag to carry the food ,in food was not cooked properly and very mushy .. and very salty next time stop eating fried chicken and taking your time hiw about focus on customer food i will never...

Been holding out for a while to give noodlebox port Melb some time as it’s obvious there has been a handover in the business here. We have been going here on a weekly basis up until the last few months and were fans. Since that time things have definitely changed here. Consistency and quality was always present before but not anymore unfortunately. Tonight we ordered our favourite dim sims yet they were stone cold like a dog’s nose :) and tasted like they had been sitting around for an hour (obviously not kept warm while the rest of the order was being made). Asked for no beef but still received it. Noodles have no seasoning and taste very bland now. Not sure what’s going on there but it’s been very disappointing. Out of respect for the past history I’ve given two stars but it should be lower. Will give this one a break for a while and maybe revisit...
