Noodle Curry House — Restaurant in Melbourne

We have always been happy with this place being out local Noodle takeaway, not anymore! When the new management took over the quality dropped off a little but still pretty good. Over time it has just continued to slide. First Strike: Special Fried rice so salty I ate half and had to throw it out( my heart rate was racing and I was gasping for water)

Second Strike: My wife picked up Pad Thai vegetable after work. No tofu, very little veg and so bland she thought they had forgotten to flavour or season the meal at all.

Third Strike: Both worked late so we picked Beef Rendang with steamed rice( we have eaten the Rendang many times before and enjoyed it). The beef smelt weird and there was no Rendang sauce or flavour just a brown looking water, couldn't eat it. Not that it mattered but the rice wasn't cooked properly...

Been coming here for years. Today though.... Uh oh. Not sure what is going on. First I got over charged; only $2.00 so not much to moan about. I had my fave - Hokkien Mee. Talk about "Shrink Flation. The tub was half filled and only had hokkien noodles, beef, a couple of shrimps and loads of sauce. Where was the Bok Choy? No vegetables. New management? It tasted a bit odd too. This used to be a place where you knew what you were getting and was always reliable. Something has changed. With all the competition around I won't be going back. The food was actually horrible. Check your meals before leaving. After driving 10 minutes to pick to meals up then home again, they had forgotten to add noodles to one meal. I said I would come back for two fresh meals as the other would have been cold by the time I had returned. They agreed so off I went again. When I got there, they wanted to reheat the correct meal. After lots of back and forth, I’m really not sure if it was a fresh meal or just reheated that I received. Something was yelled out as I left the shop but I couldn’t make out what.
