Old Faithful Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Food is always good here for a local cafe. However, what lets this place down is every single time I’ve been here, food has taken way too long. At least 45 minutes for brunch or a standard breakfast menu item. The first time the excuse was that they were busy, after a while the apologies get a bit old. I’ve been there during peak periods and when it’s quiet and it is still the slowest place I’ve been to. Even when you’ve waited for so long, you can see food that’s ready sitting on the bench ready to go with staff free to deliver it and it sits there for ages on the bench (and it’s not even my food I’m talking about). They take forever and it puts people off wanting to go back. Never have I ever been so addicted to an egg & bacon roll in my life.

You too can enjoy this blissful mouthgasm for only $7. The egg is cooked to perfection, the bacon is plentiful and tasty beyond belief. The best part is the tomato relish. My god I never thought I would be so excited over relish, but holy moly mother of god does the relish make my mouth weep with joy.

Do yourself a favour, pop in to say hi to the lovely staff & get yourself an egg & bacon roll n coffee, you will NOT be disappointed.

Stopped in on our way north with a party of 4. Meals came out quickly despite ordering a variety of meals. I ordered the breakfast burger which was very messed just the way a good breakfast burger should be! Only downside is that it was meant to be with sweet potato fries but there were normal fries instead.
