I completely understand that restrooms in cafes are for customers only, and I have no issue with that policy. However, what matters is how staff communicate with customers. When I first asked to use the restroom, a staff member told me it was for customers only, which I respected. So, I purchased a vanilla milkshake.
Later, when I went to use the restroom, I encountered the same staff member again. I understand that she might not have known I had made a purchase, as another employee took my order. However, instead of simply asking politely, she spoke to me in an unnecessarily rude and accusatory manner, questioning whether I had entered from a different doorâas if I had done something wrong.
This wasnât about the policyâit was about the way I was treated. A simple, respectful conversation would have been enough. I know the rules, I understand English perfectly, and I followed what was required. Yet, I was still spoken to as if I didnât belong there. Basic courtesy and professionalism should not be too much to expect. This experience left a very negative impression, and I hope management ensures that all staff treat customers with the respect...
Read moreI will preface this review by saying I know Chef Tori. That being said, the creativity and honesty of the food is what makes this place a standout! Itâs uncomplicated, tasty, fresh & delicious. You can taste the love in every bite and feel the warmth when you enter the cafe from the smiles of the team working there. The service is friendly, approachable and inviting. The menu boasts the seasons best, packs lots of flavour from the simplicity of a Chip Butty served with house made HP sauce to the daily specials like mouth-watering Poachies with Pumpkin.
Glory is always a must before heading back to Regional Victoria. Whether you dine in or quickly grab one of their âSangasâ, some baked goods and a coffee, this place...
Read moreFriendly and welcoming team, this cafe is very open plan and spacious with clean and tidy decor. The kitchen is very visible and clearly very organised and well kept. The menu is fun and flavourful - I've tried savoury and sweet breakfast dishes here - the porridge was light and smooth, with a beautiful fusion of texture and flavour. The omelette is elevated - ingredients are fresh and clearly good quality. The chef takes great pride in her dishes and the presentation and portion sizes are spot on. The coffee is Melbourne good - you canât get away with bad coffee in this city and all I drink is long blacks so the flavour hits fast. Fresh, smooth, well balanced.
Definitely come and give...
