Oporto Broadmeadows — Restaurant in Melbourne

Today I went to this fast food place to order an Otropo value box. While they’re were nice enough when ordering, when I received the food, it was a different case.

First of all, the food looked like it had been thrown in there without a care in the world. Secondly, they charged $15 for the whole box and only gave a hand full of chips. When I took it back to them, instead of apologising, they started arguing. How can you expect us to be happy when they’re giving us a hand full of chips and charging us that much money? It doesn’t matter that there are other items, you shouldn’t be stingy. Every time I’ve dined there, I always feel like the staff, in particular the Arabic girl are being racist and giving me less food. When my friends order food, their food looks nice but mine always looks unappealing. On top of that, people who order after me receive their order first, and I’m left waiting, even when their order is much bigger than mine. If you’re going to work in customer service, you’ve got to lose the attitude.

As I turned my back after complaining about the lack of chips, I could hear them laughing. You all should be grateful that you have a job in tough times like this. Stop being so ignorant and racist and do your damn job properly. Instead of arguing with customers, try to understand where we are coming from as well. Didn’t appreciate the attitude from the Asian girl and the Arabic girl today, won’t ever come to dine again at this disgusting place.

I never thought that I would ever give less than 4 or 5 to Oporto as I and my kids love it. However, today we went to oporto broadmeadows. We ordered chicken salad bowl, halloumi burger and family chips. Chips were overcooked, chicken in salad was kind of burnt but the worst was there was a lead pencil found in the salad bowl. I cant even understand how a pencil can find it's way in a salad bowl. My husband took the bowl to the lady. She just threw the entire bowl in the bin. she apologized but I could see she was not apologetic. All she was concerned was that I wanted to take a picture and she didn't want that. She did refund us though, but it makes me wonder what else could have been there in the food if they were so careless and irresponsible. Not sure why the negative reviews but I’m extremely satisfied. I’m from Sydney where Oporto is from, and huge lover of Oporto. So when I moved to Melbourne I was excited to see they have a few locations here. I’ve eaten at the highpoint one and airport which is very similar to Sydney. When I had to come to Broadmeadows I said I’ll give it a go, but was a bit worried as I heard Broadmeadows isn’t the best area. The shop was exceptionally clean and tiday, the staff were young but knew exactly what they were talking about and very very friendly. The food came out fast and very well presented. The food was cooked perfectly and chicken was crisp and marinated to perfection. Loved it. Well done Oporto...
