A true hidden gem that I'm so glad to have stumbled across. The service was friendly and helpful, the food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious. The bread. Enough said. Soft and light and fluffy and yumm. They have vegan cheese 🙌🏾 they have some vegan-friendly menu items and plenty of veg options that can be made vegan. They could only get better if in the future they had a vegan halloumi. They have a vegan-friendly Bischoff pie which is even better than you could imagine. I was impressed by their order-taking as they nailed it first time and remembered everything to a tee. My mum likes to order a hot drink but likes to get it after the meal. So many places struggle with this but these guys were absolute pros. They also essentially let us have a tab and close it all at the end so we were only charged card fees once. I think it's a family-owned and run place as it has that charm about it. Will definitely be back and making my way through the menu, multiple times. I'm only sorry that we devoured everything so quickly that I don't have...
Read moreCame here because of the fuss that it’s “better than Lebanon!” Big claims I know!! Well, I tried with the zaatar pillow. It looked appealing, nicely displayed.
The dough is airy and soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, very lightly tasted, got to order for more … not to forget that the dough tasted very nice and very well rested! If the dough is that good, you can imagine all their manoush …
The Zaatar (oregano) topping was rich and greatly balanced between ingredients: herbs, sumac and sesame…
While eating I was reminded of the old village (markook) where the mothers sit around this big saj and bake their bread together while the children are playing around and having their fresh breakfast served with love, joy and elderly stories!
I loved it, asked for more … and more!
Great job guys, if I were to add … the music keep it middle eastern, fayrouz to give an authentic atmosphere!
It’s really the best …
Oh, and their coffee is delicious, however, you will find their review on that will be on...
Read moreIt used to be pretty decent but recently the quality has dropped significantly. Some of the menu items changed too. Did they change chefs or get new management?
The last time I visited I tried the chilli scramble and this time the schnitzel sandwich. Both times it tasted like they used the cheapest ingredients. The chilli jam was bad, like the cheapest supermarket jar. It even looked unappetizing. The scramble was very plain other than the jam.
The sandwich was so salty I struggled to finish it. I usually over-salt my food so it's rare for me to find cafe food too salty. It came with sweet potato chips which were excellent, the only thing I've enjoyed from here recently.
They used to have more interesting and higher quality items like the steak sanga with bearnaise or a chicken sandwich with harissa. It's a shame because there are no cafes around there and they have a nice outdoor...
