Lakeside Bakery — Restaurant in Melbourne

The middle eastern pizzas and pies are to die for. Meat, chicken, potato, cheese, spinach...all fillings are very good. Tried the capsicum filled with rice and meat today which was yum. The sweets are excellent too.

Honestly the BEST EVER. I've tried quite a few others in the area and also some well known middle eastern bakeries all over Melbourne but Lakeside Bakery is the BEST. Generous fillings and sooo tasty and reasonably priced. The bread dough is very nice. My personal favorite is the Shanklish pie. My 4th visit today and this review is long overdue. Would give it 10 stars if I could 😊 I highly recommend Lakeside Bakery.

No matter how far away you live in Melbourne this place is definitely worth the drive, we go there once a week and every single visit just blows us away with the variety and creativity of food she comes up with. Everything is always fresh as, and unbelievably tasty. Can’t believe she makes all that food on her own, Wow the sweets all baked fresh, her salads we just can’t live without anymore, falafel would have to be the best in Melbourne, spanakopita would give any Greek a run for there money. Such a large selection of Lebanese pastries, we just don’t know what to choose when we go in. Very affordable, highly recommend it to everyone no matter where you live in Melbourne, Don’t believe me ?? I’m trying to tick off as many Lebanese bakeries as I can in Melbourne and this is probably the top spot at the moment. Even better than A1. I usually get zaatar rolled, but this time I decided to try some pies. I ordered the spinach and pie and from the first bite, was blown away by how the dough just melts in your mouth. It was a decently sized pie, but I was craving more, so I came back to try the curry potato pie, which I haven’t seen on many menus.
