The meat dishes came promptly and wonderfully prepared; the wagyu beef melted in your mouth. The Beef Teriyaki was juicy and succulent.

I wish I could say the same with the sashimi and sushi, and the service (inconsistencies in serving sizes).

Let me begin with the fish. We waited a long time for sashimi that resembled off cuts. And despite highlighting that we wanted 3 separate servings, one sad looking plate emerged after a substantial wait. What took the cake was a table with outspoken customers who complained about wait time, got the best of service. It almost seems that complaints seemed to be taken more seriously and warranted more attention. This seems really unfair to the rest of us 'normal' customers.

I recommend that they improve in the consistencies with their raw food.

On the whole, the lovely ladies who took care of our section did a fabulous job, taking orders and repeat orders with patience and grace.

The desserts are also worth a mention. The Green Tea panna cotta and the Black Sesame panna cotta were delicious and not overly sweet, making them a ideal way to...

Our experience at Oshima all you can eat restaurant was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff who made us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and friendliness throughout our meal truly enhanced the dining experience.

The highlight of our meal was definitely the beef tataki – perfectly seared and bursting with flavor. It was a delightful start to our culinary journey at Oshima. The umeshu we ordered was also a hit, offering a sweet and refreshing complement to our dishes.

We highly recommend booking a table in advance, especially during peak hours, as this place fills up quickly. The variety of dishes offered was impressive, ranging from sushi to tempura and everything in between. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked.

Overall, Oshima stands out not only for its delicious food but also for its welcoming ambiance and exceptional service. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or colleagues, Oshima promises a memorable experience that will leave you planning...

Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with the service I received during my Birthday celebration visit at Oshima Beaumaris for the first time. We’ve encountered some issues with the service provided by the manager named Cathy.

Upon requesting to change tables, we were met with resistance and were told it was not possible. The manner in which this was communicated to us was quite distressing, as the manager raised her voice and created a scene, causing great discomfort to our party.

The behavior displayed by the her was unprofessional and rude, which greatly affected our dining experience and left a lasting negative impression on our entire party. Moreover, the restaurant manager was observed raising her voice and exhibiting aggressive behavior towards the staff members which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. As paying customers I believe it is crucial to be treated with courtesy and respect and for an establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction, especially during special occasions. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend visiting this...

In Beaumaris breeze, Oshima serves joy with speed— A feast with great ease. ⸻ From the first warm smile to the final sweet bite, This all-you-can-eat spot is pure dining delight. The fried rice arrives, golden and light, Wok-kissed and fragrant—oh what a bite! Beef teriyaki, glazed just right, Tender and rich, a carnivore’s flight. Each slice whispers flavor, deep and bold, Like secrets from Tokyo, savory and old. Then comes the nigiri, dressed in calm grace, And sashimi, like silk in a sea-salted place. So fresh it might swim, if not for the plate— A moment of stillness I’d gladly recreate. The staff? A delight—swift, warm, and aware, Dishes arrive fast, as if summoned by air. No waiting, no fuss, just dish after dish, A rhythm of flavor that grants every wish. So here’s to Oshima, with hands full of praise, For Japanese fare that forever will blaze In memory’s kitchen, in Melbourne’s sea air— A gem of Beaumaris, delicious and rare.

Let’s be very real here. This place is not “all you can eat”. What the website doesn’t tell you is that you have a 90 minute ordering window. Let’s not forget that they intentionally don’t bring the food you’ve ordered, and factoring in for the time it takes to make the food, 90 minutes is not much time. They also put a 1 beef tataki per person per round of ordering, so it’s a bit of stretch to call it all you can eat. Now, let me harp on a bit more about the all you can eat part of the place. The place only lets you order one scoop of “ice cream” per person for the entire sitting. Should be ashamed to charge a hefty 39 dollar fee and call yourself an all you can eat restaurant. May as well go to okami and enjoy unlimited beef carpaccio and ice cream scoops there. Don’t go here.
