Ordered a chicken parma tonight, but in reality it was just a really small, dry piece of chicken topped with a slice of burnt ham and cheese. There was literally no sauce on this alleged "chicken parmigiana", which just makes it a ham and cheese schnitzel, thus should be described as such on the menu. In the past after being disappointed with the fish (I've never seen an establishment crumb their grilled fish...this should be explicitly stated on the menu as some are allergic to wheat or simply try to avoid it), we tried a burger and a chicken roll, which were quite honestly the kind of thing you just don't expect to receive after paying money for (beef mixture pounded to within a quarter inch thickness with a single piece of soggy lettuce, and again no sauce to speak of. Chicken rolls containing hardly any chicken - the little it did contain was brown and dry to the point of being inedible, the bun was burnt and there was really no mayo to speak of. It was so dry it was difficult to swallow). The saving grace is the onion rings and potato cakes, which are what we kept going back for, but after reading such nasty, juvenile responses from management and staff on this site tonight, my friends and family will not be going back again. I've never witnessed such immaturity and unprofessionalism from restaurant owners in my life. As a small business owner myself, I try to learn from any negative criticism rather than respond with childish retorts...something the owner/staff of this store are obviously...
Read moreLived in Dandenong North for 42 years and have ordered from every fish and chips in the area. Outlook drive fish and chips is by far the bast and outstanding. My order today was burgers and chips and I can't fault any of it.
The burger meat was soft and juicy, the egg was cooked perfectly and the burger had the perfect amount of sauce. Best burger I've had in years.
The chips were amazing. Perfect soft fluffy inside with crispy crunchy outer layer. The chicken salt added was the perfect amount. I could eat the chips here for breakfast lunch dinner and desert.
The milkshakes were something new for me from a fish and chips, but they were tasty and I have no complaints.
I can't understand why anyone would give less than 5 stars for this business. I can't fault them at all. Even their prices are competitive.
Keep up the great work Outlook Drive Fish and Chips. I'm now a loyal...
Read moreThe fish and chips have always been pretty average from here, and the parmas are the worst I've tasted if I'm honest, but we'd often order from Outlook Drive Fish & Chips just for the amazing, home made onion rings and potato cakes alone. Much to our disappointment the huge, crunchy, rings have been replaced with what appear to be the frozen variety, and the once delicious, fluffy, home made potato cakes appear to have suffered the same fate. Such a shame as their only saving grace amongst the truly awful burgers, average fish, shrivelled nuggets, and parmigianas that tasted like old boots were these two menu items, and they excelled in them. I've never understood why restaurants switch to sub-par quality produce in the hope of saving a few bucks when in the long term they end up losing so much more - their returning customers, which are far...
