Pandu's - Footscray — Restaurant in Melbourne

This place doesn't even deserve One Star. My husband and I always prefer to read reviews and then visit the place; however, this time we made a big mistake as we went by a word of mouth which turned out to be a nightmare. I even wonder at times if the owner of this place "Pandu" actually goes through the reviews??!! The poor girl was taking order without a pen and paper. She made few mistakes before confirming the order but just wonder or imagine how can a person take a big order without an iPad or without any pen/paper. Disgusting!! We order Paneer Chilli, Dahi Puri, Burnt Garlic Noodles, Schezwan Fried Rice, Spring Rolls. Paneer Chilli was ok but very less quantity filled with a garden of Cabbage. Seriously guys, come on, you don't even know how to decorate the food! We had to dig Paneer out of the Cabbage. Dahi Puri was all Soggy and while picking it up, only the soggy puri were left in my fingers. Burnt Garlic was as if, the noodles were burnt instead of Garlic. Schezwan Fried Rice, OMGGG, I don't know why did I order that. They served Schezwan Fried Rice which I believe was 2 or 3 days old. The rice was so uncooked and could hardly find any vegetables in it. IT WAS SO DRY, COULD HARDLY CHEW IT. Also, along with Schezwan Fried Rice, you ARE ALWAYS AND ALWAYS SERVED WITH gravy which has Vegetables Balls in it. To my surprise, the girl says NO, it has never been that. Really!!! So you mean to say, that Schezwan Fried Rice is eaten dried. Spring Rolls, just 5 tiny pieces which had no matter in it. I felt I was eating just the fried sheets. When given the feedback to the person at the checkout counter, the guy was hardly interested in listening. He was more keen on Touchon your card and leave. I came home and after an hour or so, I started throwing out. Is this kind of food which you serve to your customers?? Playing with customer's health. I would like to warn all food lover people if you want to waste your money for poor service, taste and pathetic way of dealing with customers then only spend your money in such a terrible restaurant. Let me provide a detail what we experience

*We been there at 9 pm first of all no one come to attend us till 9:15 and even did not serve water so menu is far away to expect..we literally asked for providing menu

we ordered hot and sour soup, biryani and noodles and instructed a floor staff girl to provide soup first and after that biryani and noodles. Somehow I think she did not understand and brought biryani and noodles straight away.when we asked that have not received soups she just said did you order? What a stupid way!!! She took order on tablet and might forgot

when we asked her to bring soup after all drama and finally after 20 minutes soup came. It was hot and sour soup but can you imagine how it will taste when there is sweet inside? I think they just mixed up with sweet corn and served really pathetic taste I have ever tried. When i tried to give them a feedback they simply said it is a hot and sour soup that's it!!! Rather apologies or any courtesy they have shownn attitude like master chef!!!

Lastly when we ordered one more dosa the floor staff girl said the kitchen is closed. When I have been there for payment the chef was still making dosa for new order so what does this mean?? It was literally insult for us. it seems they do not know at all that running table must be given priority and before even closing kitchen they must ask last time

Now you please imagine it is a fine dine restaurant and if only one floor staff and that even rude and arrogant what can you expect??

Such a worst place to go and have food. All the restaurants will be either have good food or good service. This one has neither of them. I don't understand why people are still going to pandu's. Earlier atleat the food was better.

Review on food : The quality of food is way too bad. We got a egg shell in biryani. The rice was luke warm(not even warm), the meat was smelling bad, the biryani rice was fat rice(not a good quality). not even a single food was atleat average. We used to go to Pandu's earlier quite a few times. Service was not good even then but atlest food was ok.. But now the food quality has also gone down. **Not even a 1 rating for food.

Review on Service: The service at Pandu's is worst than the food. Whatever issues we raise with the manager or staff they have excuses for everything. Despite of saying apologies the staff here are very rude. Any issue we raise the only answer from the manager would be "As they cook in bulk, these kind of issues may arise and they can't do anything for these. We were very unhappy with their behavior and didn't even had our food but we were still asked to pay for the food which we didn't even eat. That's the customer service they are providing. Even though they know it's their mistake they are least bothered to make customers happy. Also while coming back(waiting to pay the bill) we saw the biryani pots which were not even covered for 5-10 mins and upon order they are just heating the dried once and serving the customers. Minus rating for Service.

By seeing the food and service i felt like they may be desperately looking to shut down...
