Be alert! You ask the price before you make a purchase! Me and a friend of mine were there for groceries the last evening. While checking out, I got my sight on small lassies in the freez. I grabbed two of them. We came out of the shop and jumped to lassies. It was not a usual normal lassie, We felt a kind of unpleasent flavour in it. And guess what? couple of hours after I started vomitting and got diarrhoea as well. Can't blame them as well coz we didn't check whether ir was off or not. Hope whoever is reading thisv would check the expiry date. Also, be aware of shopping over here! It was the third time, I have been incountered with overpriced products. If you don't see the price in the product shelf, either ask for the price or simply, don't buy it. Otherwise, you'll be surprised to see the bill. New visit- overpriced thugs: I took one of this yoghurt and went to check out. They charged me $16 bux. I paid. I thought it was quite expensive but I made no comments over there. This evening, I went to another Indian shop just nearby my home. I saw the same yoghurt and had look on the price tag. It was just for $8 bux. I realized that the item was overpriced. We work hard. We go to these groceries because they are our Nationality/neighbours who brings our taste here. But, they came to be bloody thugs. Once you pay for something, keep your bill with you. When you go to other shops, compare the prices. Then you'll realise why I explained this long.

Welcome to the lively Woolworths of Footscray, a place where you can find all your daily essentials - Salam Namasthe! This market is conveniently located near the station and offers a wide variety of products to meet your needs. As soon as I entered, I was amazed by the size of the place and the abundance of items in every aisle. If you're looking for religious items, this market is a great find. It has everything you need for worshipping God, making it easy and convenient for Indians to fulfill their spiritual requirements. One of the best things about this market is the different types of tea makers available. I personally tried the delicious cardamom milk tea and it was a delightful experience for my taste buds. They also have a tasty selection of samosas and patties, perfect for a quick snack. As a customer, I found this place to be a fantastic shopping destination. The shelves are well-stocked and the staff is friendly, making my experience enjoyable. With its wide range of products and welcoming atmosphere, this market caters to the diverse needs of its customers. In conclusion, whether you're looking for everyday essentials, religious items, or simply craving a tasty snack, this is the place to go. Its convenient location and extensive offerings make it a one-stop-shop for all your needs.

salaam namasthe, a grocery store specialising in india, sri lankan, bengladeshi provisions now has a take away or dine in restaurant! although basic, i got take away chicken dum biriyani, pani puri, mango lasi and butter milk for lunch, was so blown away by the biriyani, i immediately went back and got takeaway chilli chicken and mutton curry for dinner! the biriyani is the best i have had, so cheap at $8.95 with chicken maryland and lots of delicious rice, it was sooooo good too! pani puri was tiny little puri cut open, stuffed with potato, tomato and onions, eaten with mint, coriander and basil sauce - totally to die for!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Store a prominent Indian grocery store located in footscray. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of my experience, covering various aspects from the store’s layout to its product offerings.

Store Layout and Ambience

Upon entering Store, you are greeted by a vibrant yet organized space that immediately evokes a sense of familiarity if you are accustomed to Indian markets. The store’s layout is thoughtfully designed to facilitate easy navigation. The aisles are clearly marked, with sections dedicated to staples such as rice, lentils, spices, and fresh produce. The clean and well-maintained environment contributes to a pleasant shopping experience, which is often a challenge in bustling grocery stores.

Product Variety

Store excels in offering a diverse range of products that cater to various culinary needs. The rice aisle boasts an impressive selection, including Basmati, Jasmine, and Sona Masoori. For those interested in Indian cooking, the assortment of lentils (dal) and pulses is particularly commendable. The spice section is extensive, featuring both commonly used spices like turmeric and cumin, as well as more niche options like asafetida and curry leaves.

The store also carries a wide array of ready-to-eat meals and snacks. From popular brands of frozen parathas to an assortment of Indian sweets such as gulab jamun and rasgulla, there is something to satisfy every palate. Additionally, Store stocks various international brands, which adds to its appeal for those seeking specific items not typically found in standard Indian grocery stores.

Fresh Produce and Specialty Items

The fresh produce section at Store is notable for its quality and variety. Seasonal vegetables and fruits are well-stocked, including staples like okra, eggplant, and mangoes, as well as more exotic items such as jackfruit and curry leaves. The store’s commitment to freshness is evident, and the produce is often replenished to ensure quality.

Specialty items, including artisanal chutneys, pickles, and regional ingredients, are also available. This is particularly advantageous for those looking to replicate authentic regional dishes.

Customer Service

Customer service at is positive. The staff members are knowledgeable about the products and are willing to assist with any inquiries. Their familiarity with Indian cuisine and ingredients is a valuable asset for both new and experienced cooks. The checkout process is efficient, though during peak hours, there might be a slight wait.

Pricing

In terms of pricing, strikes a balance between affordability and quality. While some specialty items may be priced higher due to their import costs, the overall pricing is competitive. Frequent promotions and discounts also offer good value, making it easier to stock up on essentials without breaking the bank.

Conclusion

Overall, is a noteworthy destination for anyone in need of Indian groceries. Its extensive product range, organized layout, and fresh produce make it a reliable choice for both everyday needs and special culinary endeavors. Whether you are an experienced chef or someone new to Indian cooking, provides a welcoming environment and a diverse selection that caters to a wide range of tastes and preferences. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore or maintain their Indian...
