We loved this place until our last visit on April 22, 2024, we purchased three colomba cakes here, discounted priced at $24 each. Unfortunately, the pear and chocolate colomba had mould on the top upon opening it that night.

We went back to return them and the young staff members refunded me $72 for all three cakes, even though we returned only two. However, the situation went sideways when the older lady, likely the owner or manager, insisted on returning $24 because we only returned 2 (1 was given already to our friend as a gift, embarrassingly asked them to check for molds). Which we did return the $24. She also asked us to consider buying other colomba and implied the mouldy one was still safe to eat if the top was removed. We were shocked! That's a health and food safety issue!!!

While the young staff members handled the situation well, the mixed messages and poor handling of food safety by the older lady left me shocked and disappointed. I hope this review alerts others to check the molds before...

I came here with a blogger who was invited to their Christmas in August event to launch their Panettone.

I was not overly excited about panettone as my previous experiences have been it being dry n stale. I must admit i never 'got' pannetone until now. When done well and baked fresh, it truly is a dream. Soft, cakey, citrus, fruity, buttery. I took some to my friends who were equally unexcited and they were mind blown as well.

You haven't had pannetone until you've had it here. It is very much worth the drive to Essendon for this beast of a cake.

Staff were friendly and you could feel the love. Made me wish I was Italian except i love pho and banh mi too...

The roll waa delicious and fresh. The chicken was a bit dry. The cheese made it too salty at the end. Got my money's worth. For $13 my stomach was so full and bloated that I couldn't eat for 2 days. 😊
