Pho Kha Tran — Restaurant in Melbourne

Well, this restaurant had always been my lunch to go on Monday cuz it was the only day I took my child to this suburb for library activities and most restaurants were closed on Monday. The food was good, we did like the salty fish and chicken fried rice and pho. Until today, I took my child there for lunch, not long after we just sat down, my kid accidentally poured her cup of water down the table, then I took three or four pieces of tissues from the table to clean up her side of table without hesitation. Then the lady being the only staff as usual came straight and put aside the tissue box saying “don’t waste the tissue it’s very expensive nowadays”. I was stunned hearing that and was very upset afterwards. Then the food came, the lady brought the pho and a kids bowl, I have never seen a served bowl as greasy as this one, I wouldn’t let my child use that then I asked her to switch a fresh one. This is a very disappointing and disgusting experience, not kids friendly, service is bad. I have never given bad reviews as I am an easygoing customer with high tolerance. But sorry,...

Had a dinner here on a Monday as my usual pho place next door is closed on Mondays. Had their pho with meatballs only, small portion but it came out much smaller than expected. Very stingy on the meatballs (see pictured, hadnt eaten it although put some chili oil already). Broth has nice flavour though. Chili oil is super duper hot. One teaspoon was actually too hot. Their grilled pork on the Bun was quite nice. Our entree came really late and only after asked, I would say they probably forgot about it. The waiter said because they only have one chef, but I would say they just forgot it because we finished eating our main and it still didnt come up. Anyway, the entree of salt & pepper tofu was nice, rather subtle on the spice but I like the tofu texture, nice and soft inside. Disgusting and rude customer service ever! As a local living in this area for years, this is a first time ever I met a restaurant owner to complain a 10 months old baby left some pho noodles on the high chair. If I’m the chef I would be so happy the little customer enjoyed my cooking. Guess what the owner said to me and my whole family:“ It is not okay it’s so messy, don’t come back again. “ We have been to different cuisine places for many times I never ever heard in my life a restaurant owner complain customer’s baby made mess on baby high chair. This is totally unacceptable and disgusting!!! Good neighbours please turn left /right go to other pho restaurant to enjoy what you deserve. This restaurant is hopeless. They should put a sign at the door “Babies and toddlers are not welcome ”....
