● August 2023 ● 🌟🌟🌟🌟 4 stars We've been getting pizza 🍕 every Friday from Piazza96. It's still our to go place for pizza fix of the week. Good consistency with pizza quality and service. Thank you.
● July 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars Pizza 🍕 we went for dine-in but the rest of the family had takeaway. Pizzza with potato and truffle oil was strange I'm personally not sure if I like it. I don't mind it but I wouldn't order it myself. We tried creme bulee and it was delicious. I can have 3 more on my own 🤣 thank you for your service.
● June 2023 (no.2) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars ... we enjoy pizza here and that's why we keep coming back to this gem 💎 we tried meat ball with bread and canoli tonight (we had same pizza and arancini). Meat ball was good but I found it a bit sour. I didn't mind it though. Canoli was good but I don't think chocolate goes well with ricotta and pistachio. Thank you again for your service.
● June 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars This place has been our weekly 🍕 pizza fix so here we go again. We had the same pizza and tried lasagne this time. It was nice but I think it could have had a bit more flavor depth. We don't mind it but can't say we would order again but pizza is always great here so we'll definitely come back for it. Thank you.
● May 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars We've been getting takeaway in between from last visit. Pizza 🍕 was great as usual and we tried special gnocchi tonight. It was a little sour but it was good 👍 thank you.
● Jan 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars Hidden gem in the Northern suburb. It's in the corner among residential houses.
Arancini balls to start, it tasted good but I would love it to be a bit bigger. Maybe a sprinkle of salf would lift the flavour a bit more too.
They have good wood fired pizza 🍕 Salami was delicious and tasty. We bought tiramisu home, it was okay but it wasn't great and less than we expected.
Anyway, we definitely would come back for pizza 🍕 here because it's really good. Check them out. Also, good and...
Read moreI've only experienced take away at the end of lunch service. Pizza is excellent, but perhaps a little too thin on the base; ultra thin. I do perfer Neapolitan style pizza, but just a tiny bit thicker would be great. Menu design is great, it creates a good image of the restaurant. The venue itself is pleasant inside and well decked out.
Pizza menu is a little lacklustre for flavour, but not for quality. Both the inferno Pizza and macellaio Pizza are gone, both that offer that flavour kick. The rest of the menu seems to follow tried and true stock standard favourites, and seems to be geared more towards gentrified middle class tastebuds. There are very little exciting pizzas that offer that flavour kick, that little oommph, that zing. Nothing wrong with the pizza menu per se, it is just rather ordinary and not much stand outs. But it is wood fired, so a win there.
Perhaps they could offer something with N'duja, anchovies, olives, and peppers, or something with Italian pork and fennel sausage. I think a polpette or meat ball pizza, with a few tweaks would be an awesome addition to the line up. They could do with a flavour packed pizza.
Lasagne is also great. Overall one of the better options in the area. A massive applause for being open on lunches Friday and Saturdays, incredibly rare in Melbourne. As another bonus, they are OPEN FROM 4PM!!!!! Very rare to find when 99.99999% of all pizzerias absolutely insist on opening from 5pm. Great for an early dinner home from work, WFH, a day doing errands, or the school run, after a footy or soccer match...
Read moreWe celebrated my sons 18th birthday here on Saturday night. The staff were fantastic in the way they looked after our guests and an extra special mention for Julian who managed our booking and then along with Michael, looked after us during the evening. The night started off with an amazing Meze spread and then this was followed by a selection of the most delicious Woodfire Pizzas!!! I was able to bring my own cake and sweets, so this made for the perfect venue (and also the perfect sized location) to have a private function. I would highly recommend this place if you have something to celebrate or even if you just want a place to go to for dinner with the family. It is a hidden gem in the Northern Suburbs for takeaway pizzas if you can't eat in and my personal favorite is the Patata. The combination of thinly sliced potato, rosemary, garlic and truffle oil is absolutely to die for!!! Thanks for a great night Piazza 96 and keep up the...
