Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Melbourne

While waiting for my order, I was sitting just opposite the counter, where I can see the kitchen. As I was observing, they might be using kitchen gloves but they don't know the proper method for avoiding food contamination.

1. Yes, the lady making the order was wearing gloves while handling each order. BUT! After her usage of the gloves, she doesn't washed her hands in between after removing it. To add more about it, that same hands touched her face, and other areas of the kitchen. Did she washed her hands after donning a new gloves? NO! She just wore another set of gloves and started making the other batch of orders.

2. I saw a men slightly sitting/leaning on the order prepping table! How unhygienic 😔

3. Did the other employees who handled the orders used gloves? Yes and No! Plus, again, they did not do the proper hand sanitation or even washed their hands after donning it off, even though the soap and sink was just a reached away.

4. I just read the reviews while I was waiting for my order, and the one named Marie, was telling the same thing I saw today.

5. Will I be back here again? A big NO.

P.S.

I am not, in whatsoever condemning the people working in the store, but condemning their actions towards proper food handling and basic hand hygiene and sanitation to avoid food contamination. For goodness sake! They're handling food. I may not be affected for now, but who knows what will happen in the future? Maybe not me, but how about the others?

Please PizzaHut management and it's staff, do properly imposed and follow your food handling protocols and knowledge in avoiding food...

I have to complain about the Indian worker there with the turban. I had a similar experience with another reviewer before. He is very rude, service is so bad and the 3 times ive been there, he always demands you to pay him cash. When i say no, i want to pay with my card, he looks into my wallet & says "you have cash, you have to pay me cash" & i tell him no coz i need it for other things. He shouldnt be prying into my wallet nor should i have to justify why i dont want to give him cash. When i went to pick up my pizza, he just looked at me then gave me my pizzas & was just talking on his phone in Indian while serving customers. He is very dodgy and he even told his worker to always ask for cash. Id be worried of i was the owner of this Pizza Hut and Im not the 1st person to make a complaint about him He needs to be fired and i definitely wont be going back there. worst experience i have ever had. ordered online, selected delivery but somehow when i paid it went back to pick up. i called the store to organise delivery instead saying i would pay delivery fee in cash to driver. the person who answered the phone for some reason could not organise this for me and said someone would call me back in 10 mins to take down my address. 30 mins later no call. tried calling them about 10+ times, every time it went straight to the answering machine. eventually got in contact with pizza hut main office who tried to contact the store and also couldn't get through! they said they would send them a message through the 'back end' and hopefully they would get in contact with us. 20 minutes later i get a call (it's been over an hour by now) they say they are leaving now with the pizzas. when we get them they are stone cold as they have been sitting in the store waiting for us to pick them up... crap customer service. dominos...
