I wanted the banh mi to be good. I so badly wanted it to be. So I could have a place I can drive within 10 minutes of my house but I will have to keep going to Springvale. I guess the first place to start is the bread. And probably my biggest bone to pick here. The tiger roll genuinely tasted 3 days old. Hard on the outside. Harder on the inside. It had that stale bread taste and the chalky mouth feel. It absolutely ruined any chance it had of it being good. The roll was on the smallish side. Just doesn't lend itself to being able to fit many ingredients in. Some cucumber and coriander were evidently present. Not much of anything else. The pork dried out a bit towards the end of the roll as well. Overall dry and lacking very much in filling for $9.50. Half a star at best. I've given extra stars for the char siu rice paper rolls and pork dumplings which were actually nice. I liked them. But what I went for, the banh mi. I won't...

Bought a tofu bahn mi from here today. Bread was outstanding. The flavour of the tofu was great. Unfortunately they got a bit too protective of putting anywhere near the right amount of hoisin, butter or any other ingredients to balance out the crustyness of the bread or the dryness of the tofu. This made it almost inedible from being so dry which was a shame. You would accept it if you paid the usual $5-10 for it that you do other bahn mi places. But at $12 (I know it's Mornington and going to be a bit more expensive. But even that's very steep for bahn mi.) They missed the mark too far for me to ever eat there again. Which is a shame as I work around the area.
Positives. Staff were super friendly and the iced coffee was about what you would expect. Again, very...
Read moreI’ll be really honest , I am aware you hold the monopoly for Vietnamese in the area of Mornington . I am a regular customer to all your stores including Frankston as I don’t really have much choice . Your soups are disappointing, especially your laksa . The pictures on your menu look nothing like what you received. Your laksas are watery and would only have a dash of coconut milk . Your other soups are lacking ingredients for the price you charge. Your Frankston store on the other had is total opposite. Today the laksa was beautiful. I also cannot fault the service by the young Indian lady , she is fantastic and remembers me each time . Not sure how you run your stores but you need...
