This is hands down my all time favourite Vietnamese restaurant. Every dish we have tried so far has been amazing, but the absolute standout and my personal favourite dish is the diced beef with tomato rice. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of it because my boyfriend and I demolish it instantly it’s that good! 😅🤤

Their pho is also incredible, you can really taste the love and care the owners put into it. They once told us how much time goes into making the stock and it shows in every spoonful. We’re slowly working our way through the menu and each time we have been blown away.

The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the owners are some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. It feels like dining with family.

If you’re visiting for the first time, I highly recommend the diced beef with tomato rice, or the combination stir fry noodle (the rice noodle version is amazing!). The portions are generous, the flavours are authentic and the experience is consistently top notch!

You also HAVE to try their viet iced coffee and lychee smoothie!

Easily the best Vietnamese...

I visited Pre Pho in Elsternwick on a rainy Tuesday night after my parents discovered it and wanted to give it a try. We ordered the chicken soup, quail, stir fry, and finished with the banana fritter for dessert. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and comforting on a cold, wet evening. The chicken soup in particular was warming and delicious, and the quail was perfectly cooked. The banana fritter was a great way to finish the meal.

What really made the experience memorable was the service. After leaving, I realised I had misplaced my phone. I went back to Pre Pho to check, and Jocelyn, without hesitation, kindly offered me her phone so I could call mine. Such a simple, genuine act of kindness really stood out that has left a lasting impression.

Overall, great food, warm atmosphere, and above all, exceptional hospitality. A wonderful local spot that I’ll...

As a Vietnamese local in Elsternwick, I've long yearned for an authentic taste of home. PrePho has finally answered that call, offering a truly delightful culinary experience. The pho broth is a revelation—light yet incredibly flavourful, generously topped with tender meat. The wonton noodle soup is equally impressive, with juicy, flavourful wontons that elevate the dish to new heights. And let's not forget the refreshing sugar cane drink, a rare find in the area. Blended with ice, it's the perfect summer beverage in their back courtyard. PrePho has quickly become my go-to spot. The family-run business provides excellent service and a cozy atmosphere, especially in the charming back courtyard. It's truly exciting to have such an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in our neighborhood. I’m Thanks so much Duc and family! We’ll most definitely be...

Wow! Ever since returning from my holiday in Vietnam I’ve been searching for a great Vietnamese pho and coffee! I’m in love with this restaurant and Duc the owner was so lovely, telling me about his life coming to australua as a 14 year old boy. This is a family owned and run business with his wife cooking the most amazing pho I’ve ever tasted, the broth is cooked for over 14 hrs and is so clear and hearty. I took away the rice paper rolls as I was so full from the delicious Vietnamese coffee which is the best I’ve had since coming back from Vietnam and I’ve searched big and low in Vic. So creamy!! The peanut sauce that came with the rice paper rolls was so beautiful and the rice paper rolls were so fresh. Loved this place will certainly be back. I was so full but so wanted to try a Bahn mi that looked so delicious!! Next time. Thx you again Duc :)
