Rapture A few things to mention to give helpful feedback to the business: We walked in (as first time customers) and were not acknowledged at all (even after exchanging glances with staff) and were left to seat ourselves and figure out where to find a menu. Ordered two coffees in takeaway cups, asked twice for these, and only one put in a take away cup. When I mentioned I had asked for both, I was told only one had been ordered as takeaway (as if the mistake was mine) after which it was hastily taken away, popped into a cup and placed quite heavily on the table in front of me by the barista who turned away in haste without a word. Barista very unwelcoming, not a smile was seen the whole time we were there and I honestly felt very uncomfortable after the coffee exchange. I understand you have bad days at work but a lovely Sunday morning turned quite sour for us. It appeared that the barista was a little annoyed by the young lady taking orders at the register as she was quite short with her when she spoke to her. Food took a good 20 minutes with only around six others in a quiet cafe for a Sunday morning. Food arrived with overcooked eggs, quite a small portion for both orders overall and frozen type hash browns (one of which was missing-later brought out). No atmosphere whatsoever. No music, dull. A young man who was waiting for two coffees and a panini was served his two coffees in takeaway cups and had to wait a good 10 minutes for his panini (seemingly some confusion about a bread roll/its freshness). On his way out the door he dropped his panini which seemed poorly wrapped. He was then left to clean up the mess himself whilst the owner strolled over twice with his hands in his pockets looking down at the young man and then walking away without assisting at all. We came here years ago and was unfortunately a bad experience, decided to try again and was pleasantly surprised, we have been back several times and will continue to visit. The food is usually pretty good, they have a couch area which is nice if you just want to chat and have a coffee and close by is a children's play area. The play area could use a good clean and revamp but overall its a nice place to stop in. The staff are also always helpful and friendly :)

UPDATE 18.2.23 Unfortunately this place is now a no go again, we had a good run for a while, coming often but this morning was unfortunately the last time we will come back for food, maybe coffee... The staff were polite and welcoming, after sitting down and waiting for my partner to choose from the menu, I noticed a maggot, yes... a maggot in the bottom of water in small vase on the table, my partner took this to the ?manager, the person in charge was very apologetic. We decided to stay because of the last few times we had come have been mostly good experiences. Next we ordered food, I got a tried and tested favourite, the portion sizes were MUCH smaller then usual, and about 1/3 through I noticed several hairs in the food 🤢 my hair is very long and tried up, my partner has a shaved head and toddler has curly blonde hair, this was several 3-4cm hairs... in the food. I gave Rapture a 5 Star review when coming out of lockdown 12 months ago, but what l thought was a change in ownership/management was really just a cafè that has got ahead of itself and now see's me removing my 5 Star review from 1 year ago and giving them 1 Star, it'd be a zero if it was possible!!! I've visited twice at the same time of 2:25pm on a Saturday afternoon and the first time our meals were late coming out, then they rushed us to finish our meals and TOLD (didn't ask) us to put our rubbish in the bin located out the front of the premises ready for collection. Second visit was worse......l arrived at 2:20pm with a closing time of 3pm and this time they put seats up on all the tables around us & swept the floor UNDER us. When we finished with the cutlery, a cup or plate they immediately came over and took it. With 10 minutes to go before closing my client wanted a cake. We were told it had to be takeaway. The food is exceptional, but the management style is rude to say the least. Two visits and both times the staff have been disgusting with their lack of customer service skills see's a 1 Star rating.
