Located on the busy strip on Bridge Road is this amazing modern and new brunch spot! Walk into polished marble table tops and dusty leather booths which gives it a modern touch. Love how it is very bright and nicely lit. The menu offers a modern brunch with a Japanese twist. There is a good range and variety on the menu and they have matcha and taro latte which is always nice. Decided to order a few dishes to share so we get to try a few more items on the menu.
Decided on Let’s make some smoke, exotic mushrooms, soba salad and the summer french toast. Each dish is nicely presented and the plating was on point. Love the theatrical vibe to the salmon dish and the fragrant smoke. I liked how the dishes are light and not too heavy and that means there is room for dessert. The flavours in each dish were good and the textures went well together. The summer french toast was light and the mango soaked brioche was something different. It was not too heavy and the flavours worked well together.
The exotic mushrooms are the highlight as you get to taste the different textures of the mushroom and the flavours went well together. Being a big fan of mushrooms, I highly recommend this dish. It went really well with the rye toast. The soba noodle salad was not your ordinary salad, it had a very unique dressing that was light and fresh and I love the hint of pickle mushroom in the dish to add in the flavour. Don’t forget to add in a cheeky bowl of fries, as they were very crunchy and I loved the panko crumb batter.
Overall, the staff is really attentive and friendly and I highly recommend this brunch spot if you’re around the area. I really enjoyed how the dishes are not too heavy and you can always add in that dessert...
Read moreBrunch outings often leave me feeling underwhelmed, as many cafés and restaurants stick to the same predictable menus. However, every so often, a place like Riché on Church St. in Richmond surprises me.
At first glance, the exterior is quite modest, but stepping inside reveals a vibrant atmosphere filled with lively conversations and a bustling crowd. It’s clear this spot is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, as every table was occupied when we arrived.
Fortunately, we managed to secure a table for two, but I quickly realised how fortunate we were given the restaurant's popularity. The staff were exceptionally attentive, greeting us with complimentary sparkling water and our coffee within moments of being seated. Speaking of coffee, it was truly remarkable—so good that I would happily return just for that.
Now, let’s rave about the food. Each dish we tried was a revelation, bursting with flavor and fusion originality that had us planning our next visit before we even finished our meal. The standout was the "prawny business," a delightful laksa featuring coconut prawns and steamed rice wrapped in a silky scrambled egg. We also enjoyed the "pumpkin king," which paired pulled pork with a crunchy pumpkin croquette and a delectable hollandaise sauce—absolutely top-notch. To finish, we also indulged in French toast served with vibrant fresh fruit.
And I can't forget to mention the coffee again; it truly was exceptional. We also tried the Detox green, which was so good we could not believe it was healthy.
The prices are extremely reasonable and overall, an unforgettable brunch experience for us. This place is an addiction-forming eatery and a must...

We ordered a total of 6 dishes. Some of the dishes had a good portion size and worth the penny well spent. However, two of the dishes were a let down.
The Off The Hook dish was a major disappointment. The photo on Mr Yum was very deceiving. The photo shows a large piece of pan-fried salmon about 4 fingers thick-wide. When the dish came out, the salmon was only 1 finger size. Undersized portion and exxy for the price paid. Not worth ordering this dish again. The person who ate the dish was still hungry and gruesome.
The grilled chicken in the Who Let The Bao Out was dry and some pieces had hard chewy tendons which were not edible - also another disappointment. Portion size was acceptable and the slaw was great.
Ordered the POK-E with extra grilled chicken. Again very disappointed with the grilled chicken which was dry and had plenty of chewy hard tendons. The person did not enjoy eating the chicken at all. However, portion wise the poke bowl was of decent size and was delicious minus the grilled chicken.
The Prawn To Be Wild was amazing and the waffle fries were very crispy and tasty.
The corn fritters were delicious and filling. Good portion size for a vegetarian dish.
Last but not least, loved the Lava Japanese cheesecake - was an awesome and delicious dessert! Will definitely come back for...
