Saigon Cuisine Oakleigh Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

Attracted by the photo of stir fried combination rice vermicelli the restaurant posted, I ordered this dish without any hesitation. However, despite there are at least 11 pieces of prawn in the beautiful picture, mine plate got only ONE piece of prawn. Taste was good though.

Reply to the restaurant owner: the reason I order that dish was only because of your misleading photo with several pieces of prawn and written with your own words “Don’t miss out our delicious rice vermicelli combination! “. It said “vermicelli combination” not “prawn vermicelli”! Is that clear? Why did you remove the misleading advertising photo immediately after my review posted? It won’t run away by itself. I thought it’s just a wrong photo or advertisement so I have given 4 star but now it’s becoming an honesty issue....

Last night we had dinner and we were absolutely amazed with the flavours and portions at this little Oakleigh gem. We had the signature beef gravy, chicken pho and vegan spring rolls (we forgot the photo but they were yum). All the food were prepared fresh and well flavoured. There was just one girl at the counter and as a waitress, she also did an amazing job helping people at back of the house, she was busy but she gave us a very good service. We will come back for sure, thanks!

The prices are good...

A cosy restaurant with a good menu and traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Upon arrival, you may notice all the staff are helping out at the back, just ring the bell at the counter and they will come in a heartbeat. Lovely service, efficient and accurate on the orders, very accommodating. This will suit casual dining and quick bites.
