Really good coffee! Saki's had been a recommendation and we walked past so many times - en route to elsewhere, or it was very busy. Rather glad we stopped by today as the coffee is really very good. Which even though Melbourne people go on about their coffee culture (yup, we are out of towners), we have found Toorak, Armadale and the city to be lacking over the last three weeks. Unfortunately the Almond croissant was a bit dry, however the Portuguese tart was tasty. The staff are very friendly and service is quick.

Coffee was really nice, in a very nice place, and a good atmosphere. Would like to see higher quality sweets, they are not bad, just are not at the level their coffee is. For example, croissants are too sugary and a bit oily, in good french bakery you can get a better croissant. They are still one of the best coffee shop around that area, so I'd recommend to try their coffee if you are a coffee person.

If you enjoy Italian coffee as opposed to the usual Australian coffee, then this is the place for you. Opens really early - 530am which is perfect for those who want a cup before boarding the train at toorak stations Personally I prefer Australian coffee, this version is less milky and has a more bitter aftertaste. Does the job of waking me up though

The Coffee here is the best in Melbourne. Saki is one of the leading Barrista’s and Coffee specialists in this fine city. He was instrumental in the success of 1 of Melbournes Top Ten coffee’s that was in Malvern and has gone out on his own. He is also nicest guy in the biz and while we now have to travel a little further to get best coffee in town it is always worth it!!! For those of you in Armidale you’re very lucky to have him set up shop in...

Slowest barista in town,

In response to the owner: I arrived when there was 6 other customers all waiting for coffee, I actually let two people in front of me to order before me and then I had to wait 15 minutes while I watched assuming the owner make 6-8 coffees, this is ridiculous considering the coffee was not that good. The Friand was also ice cold like it had just been defrosted. I would avoid if you value time and...
