I’ve eaten a lot of #indianfood over the years and it’s one of my favourite cuisines. However, the dishes here in Australia are very different to what I’d tried in India in 1986. It’s much like how we cook Chinese food is so different to what I tried in 1985 and 1989 in Beijing / Guangzhou / Hong Kong. However, that’s not a downside at all. I enjoy the interpretations by local chefs on how to prepare say - a #roganjoshcurry and how they differ from restaurant to restaurant - state to state. #cafespice in #greensborough was recommended by my daughter. It delivered on not just great food but also a warm welcome. Sanjeev’ Cafe Spice is simple on decor but big on service and hospitality. From the time we were seated to food on the table was 15 minutes - pretty good for a busy Saturday night. I know each of the serves look similar in the photos but the taste of each were definitely different. #roganjosh #beefkorma #paneermakhani #rotibread #cucumberraita #steamedrice Portion sizes were perfect and sharing three main course dishes between five of us ended up being plenty. $83.00 for 5 people was also value for money, especially as eating out has become considerably more expensive. Notes: good parking at the rear of the restaurant, caters for dietaries, wheelchair accessible and kid friendly. Dietaries, speak to staff directly. We will return.

Had a tasty meal here early on a Friday evening. It was our first visit and it won't be our last. Our plates had been warmed up (my hubby's benchmark for a good Indian restaurant) and the service was quick, friendly and professional. The garlic nams were superb (my benchmark for a good Indian restaurant). The interior is quite basic, no tablecloths, but very clean and tidy. Very good value for money

The best Indian restaurant in the area. The food is always incredibly tasty. The freshest naan bread I have ever had. Service and owners of the restaurant take pride in what they do. All round, very good food and lovely service. Must try for both dine in and take away!

menu is not limited they legit have 100 pages of what to eat...i do not understand how anyone can eat. So i simply ordered my top favs and i asked them to make sure it was MILD i am very sensitive to spice being the rather large person i am. Iwaited a good 5 minutes and got my food and of course being shocked. Before I did anything I asked IS IT SPICY the person was very rude and said what do you thing check the name SPICE BRO get out if your a baby who cannot eat spice lol loser. Pointing the L to me. I was happy he acknowledged my middle name which is Steven LOUS Donald...thank you i feel so happy. But he was a bit rude...hm...so anyways i ate it and wow my mouth was on fire i went to the desk and demanded some milk but of course they did not serve milk i took water and you will not believe it...SPICY AS. After 6 minutes of running around falling on people and doing you know what to make babies by accedint..(what does a few kids into the world do..) those good lookin women were moaning a lot my thing isnt THAT big,...like cmon :(...i sat down and drank some more water i ended up having to go to the hospital was in a coma for 3 years (thats why you might not remember but this did happen) and I saw those hot girls underaged but idc women again with their husbands and kid...i smiled and did it again seeing how happy there were..i bet their boyfriend didnt want to HURT them but ik they can do it thats my babygirl!!! but tbh this was good i got 3 ppl into the world...

Our family of 4 with 2 toddlers visited this restaurant this week . The staff did not show any patience when we tried to check in using QR code and targeted us like we are intruders .I noticed the staff is not even keen on checking some other people who came int he same time to ensure whether they have checked in or not.I presume rules should be for everyone. We requested for a child seat , but not keen on offering one to us as if she doesn't care . once we sat on the table , she decided to reposition the table and asked my kids to get off .My kids were telling that they are scared off her ,when she left to get menu. before even , we started ordering with a prejudice mentality , she warned we cannot order just one meal and share as that what some customers do it seems. How can she guess that we are such customers before we take an order .Again i do not hear she warning other customers next to us which i find a bit insulting. we decided to order 4 items , including their chef entree Tandoor Murgh as a full instead of half . But the the lady insisted we must order more items . You cannot force anyone to decide how many dishes they should order .Moreover the lady insist that i order a drink. Please make a note on menu next item in regards to these unique condition .I am glad that she didn't decide...
