Disgraceful service.
We were selecting a couple of bunches of leafy vegetables when a rude staff member (bald, behaved like he owned the place -- and he might, who knows, which would make this even worse) told us while glaring and pointing, "Don't do that. They're all the same. Just don't." And he walks away shaking his head.
One bunch had flowers, a couple of bunches had brown spots. No, they're not all the same.
Needless to say, we left without picking anything up, and we'll never return. Have been visiting for a few years for the deli, because while they're not particularly friendly - never have been - we thought we'd support a local business. Not supporting this one ever again. Went to Coles for the greens - better quality, fresher, cheaper, complete with polite staff members. Deli? There's Psarakos in Bundoora for amazing cuts, and everyone there is absolutely lovely.
One thing you're supposed to have going for you as a small business is friendly service. Just because you're having a bad day, doesn't mean you take it out on...
Read moreWent in to buy Imperial Mandarins at their Greensborough store. Asked a worker where I could find them. She directed me to the ones out the front of the shop. I said they don't look like Imperial and asked if I could taste before I buy aa my household wouldn't eat them if they weren't the right ones She asked another worker who confirmed they were Imperial and that they were juicy and very sweet. Another customer also commented that they didn't look like Imperial either. A man who looked like the boss come to the front to assure me they were. Despite not being given a taste test like I'd asked, I bought some. Big mistake!! So sour!! I've tried 2 since getting home. Both ended up in the bin like the whole bag will. I thought scamming was only online or through the phone. I shop regularly at Greensie. Used to go to Scullis a bit. Never again. This sounds picky. But I'm peeved like other customers will be who were looking for sweet Imperial...
Read moreI feel really sad about leaving this review but it is necessary. Sculli has always been my go to. Not anymore. In the last month we've had 4 poor experiences. Loose potatoes purchased were cut the day we took them home and half were rotten inside. The next time we purchased 2 punnet of strawberries that were mouldy within 24 hrs. We took them back and advised 2 staff about the display of the mouldy strawberries as well as the ones we had to throw out and they didn't care. This week, "ripe" stickered avocados completely hard inside. These things were all purchased with my usual pastas, sauces, cheeses, and pantry items. The kicker was that this week, I left my keys in my basket by mistake when I was paying for my items. The two staff that decided to be judgemental, shake their heads and even laugh at my "mistake" as I was leaving... it wasn't necessary. Your customer service and lack of care is just sad. I used to love shopping...
