All the staff were so genuinely lovely and the atmosphere casual and relaxed, perfect for a Saturday morning. Located directly across from greensborough station it’s easily accessible even if you aren’t local and it’s doing some pretty exciting things for a suburban cafe. The menu boasts several dishes of an Indian influence reflecting the heritage of the chef and owners. Bombay potatoes with fried egg as an example, I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it! Friends who had been told me I simply must get the Nutella stuffed pancakes and I couldn’t argue with that. I figured balancing it out with a fresh juice (chose your own combination of three fruits and or veg) made it an acceptable borderline health choice. What a sensational dish! Easily my new favourite pancakes in Melbourne the Nutella stuffing is a seriously ingenious idea and every mouthful was heavenly. I was literally so delighted by their supreme fluffiness they were devoured within minutes. Even the pretty berry smear which is intended as a garnish adds a wonderful tart element to the plate. At this point I was extremely full but then a Nutella lassi was suggested. You can opt for the traditional mango but they also have more unique and intriguing options such as rose or Nutella. This was as yummy as it was visually striking. Not only do they serve exceptional food with a smile this is also a great family friendly space with children being offered colouring pencils and their artwork proudly displayed on one of the cafes back walls. I couldn’t fault my dish and would definitely recommend you go and experience it...
Read moreI recently visited Two Young Boys Cafe with my wife and had a very disappointing experience. There was a young Indian woman working there who spent most of the time talking on her phone with a friend instead of serving customers.
It took over an hour before she even came to take our order, even though we were the only customers in the cafe. She brought us the wrong coffee, and the food (avocado toast) arrived after nearly an hour and a half. The quality was very poor, and honestly not worth the wait at all.
I understand if a cafe is busy and there are delays, but the place was completely empty — just me and my wife. I don’t think it should take 35 minutes to make two coffees and over an hour for two avocado toasts in an empty cafe.
Very poor service, and we will definitely not be coming back. I wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreUpdate Made a visit back again while I was in the area. The staff are as wonderful as ever, the coffee is just as good. Decor has been updated. They remember my name still :D A hidden gem in Greensborough.
Greensborough is in luck to have more than one quality cafe around. Hidden behind the Savers store, Two Young Boys serves cafe/restaurant fusion food in fantastic Melbourne style. Friendly staff, decent variety in the menu and well priced. Clean as with a minimalist nautical industrial design. New special each week is always a treat.
For instance, the fruits for their pancakes are soaked in a cinnamon syrup beforehand, giving a unique soft accomanyment to a lemon curd drizzle and fluffy stack.
Quality coffee too. Rose Lassi with real rose. And some fantastic Gnocci and Curries too.
Highly suggest finding your...
