I’ve been meaning to try Sardi as it’s on the way to my gym, but luckily for me, I was invited to their menu. I took my personal trainer after she put me through the wringer doing squats. I digress. The menu is varied and extensive. We tried two dishes – the peanut butter pancakes, and the hangover cure with avo.
The peanut butter pancakes are the hype dish of Instagram at the moment, with many a food blogger wanting to try. I can see why. Fluffy buttermilk chocolate pancakes, with a peanut butter maple sauce, it’s rich but not excessive. It’s presented very well, and I’m a chocolate peanut butter connoisseur and this met the brief.
I really enjoyed the hangover cure. Not because I was hungover (although I did drink the night before), it was a hearty breakfast cooked to perfection. The star of the dish was the spiced baked beans. I was pleasantly surprised.
I suggest you get one sweet and one savoury and share them to get the full experience. We also tried the beet it smoothie and the sadri sling, the juice version of the Singapore sling. Out of the two drinks, the sardi sling was my favourite, but I am partial to ginger. The beet it smoothie was visually stunning and tasted pretty good also.
The café itself is rustic, light filled, clean and welcoming. You can tell by the diverse clientele that this is a café that serves its community. Staff were friendly to everyone, and the masters in the kitchen gave off a great vibe. There’s a friendly vibe to Sardi, the older lady next to us asked my friend if her heels were comfortable and entered into a conversation. There were people dropping in for their fix of takeaway coffee as well. That’s what you want from a local café, to feel like a...
Read moreWe had the most fabulous brunch last weekend @sardicafe where each and ever brunch dish was made to perfection and presented with finesse!
@sardicafe offers an extensive menu with gluten free, vegan, dairy free besides regular brunch dishes of so many varieties from sweet to savoury.
We had their popular The Hangover Cure, that’s a filling breakfast, with poached eggs on sourdough, grilled tomato, bacon, mushrooms, spinach, chipolatas, chrizo. Everything in this platter tasted so comforting and with subtle flavours, it’s so calming to indulge in this beautiful and meaty spread.
Also we had Chicken Salad, such a refreshing salad with grilled chicken, goji berries, kale, broccoli, avocado, toasted almonds. A simple yet flavourful combination of so many fantastic fresh ingredients in a bowl.
Banana bread french toast, the most incredibly delicious brunch dish I ever had, a yummy spongy banana bread topped with fairy floss, served with custard, fresh berries and maple syrup. Highly recommended.
Besides their coffee is of so great quality with a lovely aroma to it, making you feel really active and energised right from the very first sip. Their latte art is cute and so perfect. We also had a glass of fresh orange juice.
Their service was impeccable with a very standard and reasonable pricing of their brunch dishes and breakfast on the go options. The ambiance of this place is so cozy, definitely very busy on the weekends and in mornings, so it’s best to make a reservation before you go.
Guys weekend is here, so definitely checkout @sardicafe not just for their exceptional food and beverage quality but also for the sweet charm...

Went back this Sunday after having a chat with Angy(owner).
The food was amazing and the service was excellent.
Took some pictures and they speak for themselves.
Thanks Angy, will surely visit again:)
My second visit to the cafe, the first one was good and that’s what made us visit the second time.
Items we ordered this time:
Coffee milkshake(not in the menu but we were told that it can be made) - was 80% ice and 20% coffee. Felt like we are drinking a coffee slurpee.
Vegetarian falafel sandwich - was very dry and made in normal white bread, we were told that it would be in Turkish bread. The salad tasted and looked like days old.
Vegan big breaky w vegan option - the tofu was full of salt, so much salt that it was not consumable.
They took 30-40 mins to make the order We did have to get up leave the food and ask for the manager, the manager was not working that day and was supposed to call us back. Still haven’t received any call. we wasted nearly and hour and had to go to some other place to have breakfast. me and my partner hate wasting food and it was the first time we had to leave it as it is. On complaining to the staff we didn’t pay anything for it, but was not about money and more about the time and energy we wasted.
I hope the owner sees this and work on improving his services, i’ve met the owner and he’s very welcoming but not all your staff is so some customer service training won’t hurt as well.
Please feel free to call in the number i left at your cafe to discuss...
