Schnitz Mornington — Restaurant in Melbourne

Absolutely disgusted in the service we received from the new female owner. She treated us so badly, with disrespect and no time. We purchased a gift card from the lovely owner at Karingal Schnitz, and she totally shut us down when we were chatting about the loyalty program and the points awarded from the gift card purchase. Not welcoming at all, she made me feel anxious and angry, instead of excited for her new business. She's awful and mean. Don't support this store.

As we waited for our order, a customer came in to let the staff member know that there was a mistake with his order which his wife had just received. The manager Dan, pretty much told him bad luck as it was not written correctly on the docket. The customer stormed out swearing in disbelief. (Our chips were cold and soggy) This business is owned by a lady that owns 2 other Schnitz stores, she is not local at all and there is no care for our community. Superb atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff, magnificent food. Schnitz is always good, this place takes it to the next level.

The dining area has been recently refurbished, and it's a warm, welcoming space. The fireplace, and the island seating area with power points are great additions.

The food is stunning, and great value. Schnitz at its best. Fresh, cooked to perfection. Hardest decision was whether to start on the chips or the schnitzel first!

Staff are friendly, genuine people with real smiles. The kitchen crew looked happy too, always a good sign.

The restaurant is at the beach end of Main St. You can see the bay from the front door. Excellent location.

I'm a long term customer of Schnitz (see my Burwood East Schnitz review), and the crew and owners have really outdone themselves here.

Was in the area recently so decided to give this place a go. My usual go to is an Aussie Angus meal at Maccas cost $15.25 for a large so this was a big change up for me. Have never had Schnitz before. Spotted the Si Señorita meal which came in a little bit cheaper (and lets be honest probably healthier). The Si Señorita blew me away. Was fresh and tasty. Like to thank the staff who moved through the orders in a timely fashion. Unlike the generic fast foods, the meals are made with care, ensuring attention to detail. People who had ordered take away also were kept up to date by the manager Dan which was a nice touch, rather than being kept in the dark.
