Smokin Joe's Pizza & Grill - Hoppers Crossing — Restaurant in Melbourne

2nd review...Well I accidentally ordered through door dash from this store again, and the food hasn't improved, the delivery was quicker though. I wasn't contacted last time in regards to my 1st review either.

This time the pizzas were just warm not hot, on the half and half the chicken on the chicken half had the texture of tinned chicken and was awful to eat, I spat it out, and the cheese hadn't fully melted the pizza base was thin, and not fully cooked and the Hawaiian half base the same, the ham pieces were dry and didn't have much cheese on it. the supreme pizza base was thin and not fully cooked either and the base was just hard and doughy. I have just realised that this delivery came from hoppers crossing store and after the last time where our 150.00 order was just as bad, never planned to buy from them again as they didn't do anything about it. I searched in door dash for smokin joes, tarneit as they have never let us down. I do have photos

1st review....Food arrived 50 minutes late after calling them to see where it was, was a large order of 12 items, and they forgot 1 item and had to come back again. Not very apologetic, and from other reviews happens a bit. Won't be going back, and may have ruined it for our usual smokin joes tarneit store, that couldn't deliver at the time, as well. We thought franchise, same food.. nope, we were wrong, as well as being luke warm, pizzas were on the light side on toppings and not very enjoyable. Steak was overcooked. Not impressed with meal or service.

As requested by store. Date 14/08 3.39pm ordered advised delivery 4.19pm, called 4.52, arrived 5.05..

Update 28 01 2022, still haven't heard back from this restaurant, but doordash did refund me instantly when I lodged a complaint for the 2nd review something this franchise has never bothered to do.. for the...

I am really upset and disappointed by irresponsible and careless approach in dealing with my order. I made my order yesterday night from Smokin Joe's Pizza, Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne for delivery today (24-12-2021) at 1:10PM through Doordash. I got first message after 1:10PM today that order is delayed and will be delivered at 1:35PM. Contact your dasher.

While I was on call with Doordash representative, I got a message that your order has been cancelled and refund has been issued.

2. Doordash customer care rep told that this has been cancelled by restaurant due to some technical issues at the restaurant. I don't understand How could a sudden technical issue occur after 1:45PM to spoil order done last night for delivery at 1:10PM.

3. When I checked with Smokin Joe's restaurant , they were very irresponsible and careless. Their manager, clearly said that you should order us direct and not through Doordash. She lied that its technical issue and could not do anything. She mentioned she could not fetch order details. I don't understand why was she trying to fetch order details 30mins after delivery time. When I as a customer get multiple SMS and mails for order, I dont trust them that they could not fetch order details. Any cancellation if ever should be done in time.

I really don't understand how smokin Joe's employs such irresponsible staff. This has spoiled a birthday party attended by 15 families.

I will make sure everyone known to me think twice before ordering ever from Smokin Joe's...

ordered food off the website has an Eta of 50 mins later ... not and issue i noticed it was raining out side so i allowed for another 15 mins after the Eta delivery time for lights and traffic aswell as it was raining pretty hard ... after them 15 mins and no food i called the store all i got was im busy give it 10 mins he will be their i said im sorry but no its 15 mins over now 20 mins over why is it going to take 30 mins over the Eta time i witch i found him to be very rude and blaming customers in his store ... like i understand that you are busy but you have my number and it take 1 min to call me and say its going to be late and give an ETA so i asked to cancel the order and after checking their site it says completed and no refund has been given so i called him 15 mins later he says im to busy and hangs up i have never in my life experienced such discusting...
