It’s easy to put into words how delicious this Lamb Souva is – WOW! So let’s break it down… Atmosphere: *** It’s a very typical souvlaki store and a little small but there are a few 2 seater tables inside and a few tables outside to dine in. Overall it is very clean but a little rough around the edges. Customer Service: ***** Was greeted by the owner who was a genuinely good bloke and friendly – happy to help with a smile and was quick too. Aside for frying the lamb on the hot plate (which everyone does) he had my order in my hands within a few minutes. Lastly, I asked if it was okay to eat in the store and he said “hang on, let me get you a plate” – Blew me away as I didn’t expect a plate. Outstanding. Food (Why we are here): ***** Lamb Souvlaki – No Onion - $14.00 It was sensational – real lamb cooked on a great spit, and the salad was fresh and there was a lot of it too. The portion of meat was reasonable for this time of rising inflation too. Overall: ***** While the shop is a little old looking and may need a reno, the friendly customer service and the food was absolutely first rate. Highly recommend to everyone. Thanks Souvlaki Station!

Good for a local joint. Found this place from craving for souvlaki but can't get to Oakleigh whilst in lockdown. Service was quick, picked up a combination lamb and chicken. Size and amount of filling was as expected. Lettuce, tomatoes and onions were fresh. Yoghurt sauce and well marinated, tender chicken pieces was perfect. But lots of chewy tendon bits in the lamb, you get what you pay at $12 vs more expensive better quality lamb elsewhere. Prefer more chewier pita but, overall had satisfied my craving and will return whilst we still have travel restrictions.

I ordered with my sister and her partner on Saturday night, I ordered the chicken and avocado salad and a small chips. The salad arrived half full and no avocado, they have just used a basic mayonnaise and a few bits of celery, the chicken was also dry. The chips were half full undercooked (a few raw potatoes) and no seasoning even though I’d ordered with chicken salt. Pretty disappointing!

Had a craving for loukamades so sent my husband to Souvlaki Station for one pack of the honey cinnamon and one Nutella M&M. He got himself a kebab which he didn’t love but I quite enjoyed dessert. You can get 5 packs or 10 packs and 5 is definitely sufficient as they are quite sizeable (especially if you want two flavours!)
