What a beautiful welcoming atmosphere, as soon as you enter the spaghetti tree you are overwhelmed by the beauty, from the smells from the kitchen to the live music playing and just the general buzz of a busy restaurant. We have eaten here a few times, and this evening, we were seated upstairs above the beautiful gentleman playing the piano. It was our first time upstairs, and it was lovely upstairs with lots of photos and old posters of shows past to take in. I did feel we were forgotten about upstairs, which would be the only reason for giving only 4 stars on service. We had the lasagne and the chicken parmigiana both were absolutely delicious 😋 we had hoped to eat dessert also, but there was definitely no room after the generous serving sizes. I even had to take half of my parma home with me! The schnitzel was crumbed with panko crumbs, and it would have to be the most amazing crunchy schnitzel I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Highly recommend the spaghetti tree perfect for any occasion or just to grab dinner before seeing a show. But always book ahead as they do get very busy. However, if you do pop in on a whim, they can seat you at the bar to have a cocktail while you wait for a table. Big love to the spaghetti tree

To their credit, the staff were very kind to accept my partner and me for dine-in dinner, less than an hour before close. Thank you. Fish of the day was good, my partner really enjoyed it. Polenta chips were good but smothered in parmesan cheese so unfortunately it overpowered the chips. Carbonara wasn’t great, the pasta was a bit rubbery and the sauce needed more flavour. Customer service was good, although I was confused and annoyed by the waitress who served our mains and didn’t clear the empty plate on the table from our entree. None of the other waiters walking past cleared it either. The space is tacky and outdated. There’s some great original features but the carpet and lighting need updating. You don’t get the experience that you would expect for the prices they charge. Staff all asked us how our food was, but we didn’t feel comfortable giving an honest answer to their face. If they would like honest feedback it would be best to give customers a QR code they can use to leave anonymous feedback. Overall, good staff but I wouldn’t go back unless I was stuck with limited options.

Oh what a romantic way to spend an evening. I adored this this restaurant. The light instrumental Italian music made me feel as though I was in a film. I had a glass of Juliet Moscato because I'm not much of a wine drinker and it was absolutely delightful. Very well balanced without making you feel like you're drinking cordial. It took a little while to get our servers' attention, but our entrees arrived in 10 minutes and our main 15 minutes after we'd enhaled our Bruschetta. Try the Brushetta. It's gorgeous. Second only to the Chicken Supreme which is easily one of the best meals I've had out in a long time. Sadly our Carbonara fell flat. We found it to be very bland. We'd had Carbonara a week previously at a very basic cafe/pizzeria and sad to say it had more flavour. It's definitely not enough to put me off though. I'm dreaming of coming back to this hidden gem already.

We had an early reservation booked for Spaghetti Tree for dinner before the theatre. I was concerned that we would be running late if the service was a bit slow. However, upon arrival we were asked if ours was a pre theatre dinner and when I expressed concern about timing was given a very reassuring "Don't worry we'll have you out in plenty of time." True to their word service was super quick and efficient but the quality of neither the food or service suffered.

I ordered Spaghetti with seafood and although it was in a marinara sauce which is not my preference with seafood, the sauce had a great depth of flavour and the quantity of seafood (great fat king prawns, calamari, fish and mussels) was generous. Pasta was al dente, as it should be. My husband's Penne Matriciana was rich in bacon flavour and had a nice bite of chilli. He was a happy man.

There is a good wine list too, and a number of reasonably priced wines by the glass.

All up we enjoyed our dinner at the Spaghetti Tree and the only thing I would say is that the prices (especially for the pasta dishes) are a little on the expensive side. Maybe an added basket of some fresh crusty bread might give the impression of value for money.

The Spaghetti Tree has been around since I was a pup and there is a reason it has survived where so many have failed!

PS: We made the theatre with plenty of...

My partner and I went here before a show last night. We were running late due to some traffic issues and called the restaurant to let them know, who were extremely understanding and kind about the situation.

When we got there we told them we knew what we wanted as we'd looked at the menu online and we ordered before we even sat down as we did not want to run late for our show. Once again, they understood and put the food straight in. To our surprise, the food came out within 10-15 minutes - two entrees and two mains. And all of the food was absolutely breathtaking.

My partner had the calamari, which she said was delicious and not rubbery, which she often finds with other calamari she orders. I had the bolognese (basic, I know) which was the best bolognese I've had in a long time. It was meaty rather than saucy, which is just how I like my bolognese. We also got chips and garlic bread which were both absolutely amazing.

I was absolutely blown away by the kind staff, gorgeous atmosphere, incredible food, fast service, and the reasonable price! The second we left the restaurant, the first thing I said to my partner was "I wish I was eating dinner again, that was spectacular!"

Seriously, do not skip over this amazing restaurant. I can't wait...

I went here for tea before going to the theatre last week . We didn't have a booking but waited at the bar with a drink while they found us a table. The staff at the bar were friendly and happy. The glass of prosecco was a tad small but was nice. The service upstairs started well and we were able to order straight away as we had checked out the menu at the bar. I ordered the Polenta Chips and a Garden Salad. The Salad was fresh - lots of olives even though it was the Garden Salad not the Greek. The polenta chips were a huge disappointment. They were chunckier than normal - similar to a plank chip but square in shape, a lovely golden colour but they were not hot (luke warm at best) and there was only 3 chips on my plate and for $15.50 they were a total rip off. After are meals were placed down we saw the waitress one more time (a minute or 2 later) to ask how our meal was - yes I could have said something but I was out for a nice night. Afterwards my friend made a comment that she too thought it was poor and so I decided to write this review. The other thing I would say is that they need to get some paper in the registers upstairs as no receipts and no visual to see payment required until you look at the...
