I LOVED this hotel stay... Super plush, soft beds and crisp linen. There is a pillow menu so you are able to Goldilocks your way to a pillow that’s juuuust right. Exceptionally clean rooms and bathrooms, large flat screen TV with Apple T.V., Netflix, Disney, Youtube, Kayo Sports, and more. Great selection of drinks from the minibar Perfect/ideal central location within walking distance to all the best spots in the city, and close to multiple forms of public transport. Tonnes of fantastic restaurants, cafes and bards… anything you feel like is within walking distance. The staff at the Lancemore were beyond helpful. I had a minor noise issue in the middle of the night and called reception. Lisa was amazing, she found a replacement room and moved me right away, no problem at all. I am super grateful. As I arrived early on my check-in day, the staff stored my luggage and had it sent up to my room as soon as it was ready, it was already in my room when I arrived after a long day of work.
What was fantastic was the hotel stored my luggage on the day of my checking out as I had to attend another full day conference, and wasn’t checking in to my next accommodation (seperate hotel) until the evening. The staff member, Marvin was more than willing to store mine (and my business partner’s) luggage for the day and was so helpful. There’s a very cool rooftop terrace with tables, chairs, lounges and even day beds where you can be served drinks from the hotel bar. Definitely will be staying here on my next trip! p.s. excuse my photos attached, I forgot to take photos when I first arrived so I took them when i was checking out... ignore my floor towels/blazer hanging lol

Stayed here recently given the glowing 5 star reviews. Absolutely agree it’s a lovely hotel and at a good price. But to temper the 5 star reviews here are some comments: - happy hour drinks are as others have described: free, social and lovely. This is a huge plus to the hotel and something we enjoyed each day. Got to talk to staff and other guests. Wish every hotel implemented this! - rooftop terrace is absolutely lovely! Warm fires, great views and just a great place to sit for an hour or two. - check in experience was perfect! - rooms were quite nice and well designed (stayed in a suite) - pillows are incredibly soft and thin and we struggled to sleep, ending up with sore necks and 4 nights of poor sleep. Enquired but no other pillow options beyond stacking 3 pillows which was still uncomfortable - shower tap was broken and free spun without turning on the water, you had to do 20 revolutions to get it to eventually catch and turn on. Notified reception but wasn’t fixed during our stay - kettle doesn’t fit under the tap so you’ll need to fill it by a glass/mug at a time - sheets had stains on them on checkin - it took 3 phone calls to reception over 6 hours to get new towels. They were needed as the shower floods the entire bathroom floor even with the shower door closed. The tiles have been laid with poor drainage so the much of the shower runs out to the rest of the bathroom Overall is a lovely hotel in a great location. But it’s a 4 star hotel at best. Would happily stay here again, but worth knowing it’s not perfect so you can temper your expectations. Staff were absolutely lovely. The elevator is… interesting/creepy. Stay and you’ll see why.

Stayed for one night at the Lancemore hotel in Melbourne and ultimately was a little disappointed for what this 4 star hotel had to offer. As most have said the beds are indeed very comfy and soft. The location and general access is good for interstate travellers and the service was okay, not highly professional but nothing to complain about. I did however find the rooms a bit disappointing. My single biggest negative is the loud A/C unit that has to run all night in the room. They are dirty and very noisy (even for a hotel). My room also was noticeably unclean with stains/marks on the throw blankets, glass cup marks on the bedside tables and a very dirty exhaust fan in the bathroom with dust balls falling out of it. See images. The shower taps are also frustrating with extreme hot or extreme cold results even with micro tap mixer adjustments (the cold tap was also about to fall off in my room) which was an additional annoyance. Did not try the food. I did find the location great and easy, and the service desk did make an effort to address my needs. Although they did promise when getting my email address that they were not going to be sending me spam emails…which they did less than 24hrs after checkout… Would stay again but probably better places for the same money

Over the past weekend, I stayed at this hotel for Friday and Saturday nights with my partner. Our experience was utterly disappointing.

Positives include the comfy bed and nice sheets. Unfortunately, this is where it ends.

Prior to check in, around 11am on Friday, I received an email saying I had purchased items from the mini bar. It was not until I called the hotel around an hour later, was it clarified that this ‘was a mistake’ - yet no one bothered to call or email me prior to tell me to disregard this email. I’m sure you can appreciate my shock when receiving an email about a charge when I hadn’t even checked in!

Things unfortunately did not improve upon check in to our room. No one assisted us with our bags, nor did anyone show us where things were located in the room - especially the tea and cups which were hidden (yet the wine you offer for sale is right on display).

The aircon was noisy with a high pitched hum all weekend, we were woken regularly by the sound of passing guests because there was no soundproofing at the door, and the blind was not blockout so we were woken before 7am by the sunlight. Rather, the blind is a cheap dusty roller blind with gaps around the edges - not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel!

The carpet was dirty upon arrival, and was not vacuumed at all during our stay. I had to ask for slippers because I was not keen to walk on the carpet and didn’t want to keep wearing shoes inside. The room was dusty, and the sheer curtain had pulls/marks.

The housekeeping failed to attend our room, despite us being out between 12:30pm and 7:30pm - the bed was left unmade and we had to ask for fresh towels. When we raised this with your reception team, they simply said ‘we will have to check with our housekeeping manager tomorrow, but nothing can be done now as they have gone home’. The staff member offered a late checkout, but that did not remedy the problem, we wanted our room cleaned and our bed made.

Other complaints include the size of the shower, the lack of clarity around light switches and having to lean over the table to get to turn off the floor lamp - where is the master switch for all lights including the lamps, and a master switch by the bed? Plus the lack of hooks to hang bathrobes and towels (other than in the shower where the towel rail is located - what a silly place to put a towel rail).

As a frequent traveller for work and pleasure, these are simple things I have come to expect from reputable four and five star hotels. This hotel is marketed as a five star hotel, yet does not live up to this.

We are very disappointed with our stay, and would not recommend this hotel to any of our friends or family. This hotel was not the luxury stay promised by its advertising, which we were otherwise very much...

We booked this hotel for a city escape . At check in I politely asked if we could have a quiet room and was met with a fairly defensive and cold reaction which I now realise at the end of our stay why We didn’t book an expensive room but it wasn’t the cheapest either When we got up to the room which was on level two on a Thursday afternoon we saw we were right across from a construction site . My wife went down and spoke to a staff member again and asked (again) if they could possibly give us a quiet room knowing that the building site would be noisy . We could hear yelling, swearing and tools through the poorly insulated windows to the work site which was only approx 5m across a small lane way My wife came back up saying the staff member would “talk” to the construction site people and that they "weren't" onsite working everyday (bs)The staff that we spoke with , and there were a few of them that rotated in shifts, did everything they could to make us stay in the exact room we initially landed in . And of course the stay went the way we anticipated . Over the next two days the noise from the construction site and the alley below lead us to have a poor experience. The windows are poorly insulated from the outside. A second layer of Glass should have been considered. Photos uploaded of how close the construction site and workers were . It’s a pity our experience was so poor with this particular room. The room size and decor were very nice but the staff willingness to see our concern of potential noise to come was completely ignored and we were met with responses of smoke and mirrors Room tip :AVOID rooms across from the construction site on Level 2 on the WEST side Machinery , vehicles reversing , grinders and workers yelling and carrying on. We had to have the block out curtains drawn the whole...
