The two stars is to recognise how lovely the front of house and staff were last night, however the short bouncer with the buzzcut who violently shoved my partner down the stairs, despite trying to explain to him he cannot walk down stairs quickly due to a badly torn hamstring ruined the experience. We were asked to leave by the bouncers in which we were compliant, after a glass was knocked over by a member of our group. Fair enough, we understood, no argument or pushback from us. However, to be screaming and swearing at my partner and lay hands on him, who was far from drunk, not causing any disturbance or instigating an argument is extremely inappropriate. This man's reasoning for being aggressive to my partner is solely rooted in his frustrations that my partner was limping down stairs. Not to mention, this caused an aggravation of his injury and foreshadowed our overall experience. It was evident to us, given the bouncer in question dashed back upstairs to hide, and the rest were calm, understanding and easy to chat with, that the way this individual handled the situation caused an embarrassment on the behalf of the venue. I am writing this review out of hopes that this bouncer is held accountable for his actions, and this behaviour is prevented in future because frankly, we had a great night up until this...

Read moreAfter a night visiting as many of the CBDâs rooftop bars as possible, Good Heavens was next on the list.
The security told us that theyâre closing in 45 minutes, which we were happy with, as our âruleâ was 1 drink per venue, so 45 minutes was sufficient.
We went upstairs and the bar staff were closing the tills and told us we can only have beer â no cocktails, or spirits. This was hugely disappointing considering there was a whole 45 minutes of service left.
We ordered 3 x beers (I think it was Asahi), which came to $47.80 â no idea howâŚ
Twelve minutes after ordering the beer (I checked the timestamp on my phone), the security went around all tables to advise that the venue is closing in 10 minutes â not what we were told upon entry â we wouldâve never bothered going in for 15 minutes and spending fifty bucks on beer (which we didnât even finish since none of us is a big beer drinker).
Overall, hugely disappointing. There was zero atmosphere there too.
Would I give it another go? Maybe, on a Saturday afternoon â I suspect it would be nicer there during the dayâŚ
But, for now, by far the worst place...
