Spuntino — Restaurant in Melbourne

Insulting and rude customer service. Reason being - had visited this place to have breakfast with my husband and my 7 months old baby. Found a place in corner where it was a table for 4 which had a cushion seating on one side and two chairs on the opposite, we chose that place because baby will not sit in a pram for more than 10 minutes and we could use that cushion side corner where I could make my baby more comfortable beside me while we are eating. Even before we place order two ladies turn up and said that we might take one table and we were absolutely ok with it and within in two minutes one make staff turned up telling that we need to move you to other table, my husband and me along with baby and pram just were moved to a single table with just two chairs where it would had been so difficult for me to hold the baby in my hand and even eat. I would had no issues in moving table if we are just a couple, I mean we do have commonsense that we should not sit in a table for 4 but there was reason for us to chose that place because of the baby. And we are a family of three. More over there was other couple sitting right beside us ( in a table for 2) and there was another table empty beside them . The staff could had asked them to move to the table beside them and could had taken a table from our place and could had made a table for 4 but they did not or the staff could had ask the family of 4 to wait for a table.

It is not at all acceptable to ask a customer to get up from the dining and make them sit somewhere else. It is like insulting. I just could not take it, and my husband me and my baby walked out of the cafe and will never in my entire life will...

We are regular customers here and have breakfast here weekly. However this morning i found a hair in my food which i was understanding about and know that maybe this isnt so uncommon. I approached the waitress quietly and let her know that i have found a hair in my food and that she should let the kitchen know just to be more careful. She said she was going to let the manager know. So so disappointing that the manager did not bother to come out and just simply apologise instead they stayed hidden in the kitchen. Clearly if this manager or this restaurant in general cared about the business and the restaurant they would of come out and just simply apologised especially we approched the situation very...

Had lunch at this location in Epping today. Very quick service. They even check with you about orders if they may have something misunderstood. I think that that is great since most just make the order and if things are wrong they have wasted their time. Big plus for you Spuntino. Meal was just the right temperature, the iced mocha was lovely and cold. Was not mixed as my expectation, but I did not specify that so that is on me.

Lovely service, good food, seating is acceptable.
