Our first visit to this restaurant was truly unforgettable and exceeded all our expectations! I ordered the Pad Ki Mao, a perfectly balanced dish with a delightful combination of spicy, savory, and aromatic flavors that left me craving more. My husband opted for the Massaman curry, which was rich, creamy, and beautifully infused with the flavors of slow-cooked spices and tender meat. Every bite was a testament to the chef’s skill. To finish off our meal, we chose the Sago in coconut milk with black beans. The dessert was a delightful surprise—light, sweet, and creamy with just the right hint of saltiness from the black beans, making it the perfect conclusion to an already exceptional meal. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout the evening. Their attention to detail, from the timing of the dishes to checking in without being intrusive, added to the overall positive experience. The restaurant’s ambiance was equally impressive, with its cozy and intimate setting that made it feel like dining in a charming colonial-era house. The unique decor and soft lighting created a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. The seating was spacious and comfortable, allowing us to fully enjoy the meal without any rush. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into every detail, from the layout of the dining area to the overall design of the space. Since that first visit, we’ve returned twice, and each time has been just as delightful. Booking a table in advance was easy, and the quality of the food and service remained consistently excellent. This restaurant has quickly become one of our favorite dining spots, and we look forward to returning again soon 😁 -Marco & Avissa-

The restaurant is a lovely setting. The food was good - the TomKah Gai was excellent, but we had a chicken with ginger stir fry which was bland and lacking flavour. The restaurant does not have good ventilation - cooking smells were going through the entire restaurant and it was stuffy. Staff were efficient, although they don’t bring the wine glasses without me asking and did not offer an ice bucket. The rice we ordered did not come out. The main dish was delivered with the entree soo it was cold by the time we ate it. Better training of staff is needed.

Good experience but not great. Second visit to Sunata's on Valentine's evening and they were swamped with people and take away orders. Some people had to wait over an hour. Our food (dined in, reservation) was brought to us in dribs and drabs. Tom Kah and Beef Massaman Curry (needed more kick) were good and the wrapped duck was lacking a bit of flavour and will pass on that in future. The great thing about Sunata's is that it is very affordable.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Our table of four waited over two hours for our food after repeatedly being told only five more mins, after being asked several times. The three people on my table received their food. I waited another 15 mins before asking where my meal was. They had not even started to make it! (Meanwhile I only order a simple vegie curry and rice). They offered to make it but the people I was sitting with had already finished their meals! There was no customer service during our wait. No offering drinks, refilling water or checking up on us. The entree plates were not cleared until 30 mins after we had finished them. It is disappointing when your table cannot even eat together, and one has to leave hungry even after waiting well...

Desperately need to hire more mature & experienced front of house staff. Arrived before 5.30pm - was told restaurant was all booked out. Looked at their reservations diary. Only 2 people were booked in for the next hour. Could have easily sat two people in their completely empty restaurant for a quick meal considering how fast the food always comes out here. More mature & dedicated staff would have been able to think quick on their feet & accommodated potential diners, with a disclaimer that the table would need to be vacated in an hour. The rookie hospo mistakes here always let the restaurant down, which is a shame as the food is...
