T&D Hot Bread — Restaurant in Melbourne

This is by far the best vegetarian banh mi I have ever had - I doubt I will ever be able to top it.

The combination of marinated tofu (special secret sauce) and caramelised onion is heavenly, the salad always super fresh, the bun just the right amount of soft fluffy with the crispy crust.

The customer service is friendly and down to earth (not to mention your regular order is remembered!). It has fast become a regular go to for quick, healthy, delicious and affordable light lunch.

Update 2020. Sadly, since the business changed hands in 2019, it is not the same friendly or tantalising taste bud experience. Still good, but definitely...

T&D Hot Bread is a nice little Bakery, the Banh mi is also really good, the Pork was a little bit dry though, the Vietnamese Ice Coffee is also good but I specifically asked for a STRONG Vietnamese Ice Coffee The lady serving said it is already strong... There is always something worth mentioning when a bakery has some great products and brilliant customer Service .. - if you get a chance to drop past grab yourself one of Davids (baker) Med size olive oil / garlic & herb loafs.. it’s totally addictive - and you’ll be back for more- prices are surprising low ... I hope this doesn’t make the inflat - only kidding - excellent fresh rice paper rolls and great pork and stick rice and chicken packs - perfect...
