Had a relatively fine experience so made a trip back a few days ago, arrived before 3pm, we were told the kitchen was closed. We went back today arrived at 1:25pm, again were told the kitchen was closed. Suggested to them the closing time of 3:30pm on their website may need a change. One of the staff argued they need around half an hour to clean up the kitchen when I told them our last visit met with the same reason, it seems she forgot to tell today they needed more than 2 hours to clean up the kitchen. Other "reasons" including: "it's still holiday" (a self defined one?), "the chef is on holiday" (the cleaning up is not even relevant then)..., maybe a notification should be given to customers - kitchen closes at anytime. One positive point, their unreliableness of running the business and the attitude of that staff, not only gave us a very good reason not to go back again, we also discovered the excellent food and every friendly service we had at Friends on The Hill, just a stone throw away.
Reply to the business owner's response to my original review:
I just got to read your response so sorry for the slow reply.
It's good that you suggested you would contact the police and hand over all the CCTV footage related to the incident, and hope it comes with voice recording too, so the police can see how exactly I was "rude" and "bullying", whether I have ever "demanded to open the kitchen...".
Whilst you "reminding" me "not to bully local business and support them ... ", your misspelt remark with those senseless emojis relating to Friends on The Hill clearly displays your disrespect to your neighbouring local business
Update: It's good to see the disrespectful remark relating to the local trader mentioned above has since...
Read moreTatiana’s Monbulk is a hidden gem! We stumbled across this humble shopfront with high hopes, thanks to some glowing reviews - and wow, it exceeded all expectations. I never write reviews, but we promised we would because we were absolutely blown away.
The food? Incredible. Delicious, filling portions that are amazing value for money. Who gives you a generous serving of smashed avo these days without a $100 price tag? Tatiana’s does!! No issues with accomodating dietary requirements - everything done with a smile too! I’ve visited some of Melbourne’s ‘best’ brunch spots, and honestly, this ranks as one of the best brunch meals I’ve ever had - (we got the Green Gold Smash & Tat’s Big Breaky).
Coffee was good too!
The staff and owner deserve a special shoutout, too. They’re such lovely, genuine people who truly care about creating a fantastic customer experience. It’s rare to feel so welcomed and appreciated at a cafe.
We’ll definitely be back...
Read moreI went into Tatiana’s today and was given the nicest welcome and smiles from both the lovely staff members behind the counter. The atmosphere is relaxing and yet vibrant. They have a great menu, not a huge amount but just the right mix of variety that gives good options. I ordered the Brioche Breakfast burger and a large Cappuccino. The cappuccino was just perfect. Great coffee, right mix of froth and milk and a gorgeous pattern on the top. The burger also was excellent. Really hot, full of everything you would want in this type of burger. The staff were really pleasant to speak too and they welcomed everyone that came in and when they left with a warm smile! Best customer service I’ve seen in a long time. So if your looking for a place to feel so incredibly welcomed, great staff, has lovely coffee and the best food, you...
