Popped into Teddy Picker with my son for lunch over the weekend. We sat in the garden out the back and must say it’s a wonderful setting overlooking the Werribee River. We ordered a pizza and soft drink each with our bill coming in around $45. We both enjoyed our pizza, the base was perfect and the toppings flavoursome, although lacking in cheese we both thought which could be an area for improvement. The staff were prompt, friendly and professional and you are able to order your food at your table via an app after scanning a Q code (great idea). The west end of Watton Street is really coming to life now and appears to be the “in” place in Werribee. Along with Teddy Picker offering great pizza there a number of other food establishments around there offering great food such as Ploy Thai, Grace of Punjab and Truck Stop Deluxe for your burger fix. There is an excellent massage salon a short walk away (Sunny Thai which my sporting son highly recommends) and the newly renovated and revitalized Bridge Hotel just across the road where we went and sat afterwards for an hour enjoying a beer watching the entertainment that was on that afternoon (West End Experience). Behind the Bridge Hotel there is free all day parking with plenty of spaces. All in all Teddy Picker is well worth a visit and we recommend you relax in the rear garden to enjoy your meal and soak in the atmosphere of the...
Read moreWent here after multiple great reviews on a local community page, photos seem great - however, was disappointed with the whole experience and would not recommend at all.
Vibes & Atmosphere Great modern furniture and decorations, however, due to the dining areas being divided, it has absolutely no atmosphere - which I think they try to disguise with such loud music, you have to scream at each other. You order through your phone, and PAY on your phone - it was not user friendly at all, and I question the security of the system when I was entering in my card details.
Food We ordered 2 cocktail drinks, the charcuterie board and a side of chips. the drinks were poorly made despite us ordering classic cocktails, they still got it wrong. The charcuterie was served on this ridiculous stand thing and was comprised of supermarket fixings. Yep. Plastic ham, unpipped olives, under cooked pizza dough that I think was meant to be bread? it goes on... I guess the chips were good.
I don't ever write bad reviews but close to $100 dollars later of my own money, I felt like I was tricked - they could look to Shadowfax to up their game. I won't be revisiting as I know there is better bang for my...
Read moreVery unenjoyable experience. We waited over 1 hour and 20 minutes for our meals without any contact from management to acknowledge there was a delay or problem. I feel we should have been kept updated, not good enough. The meals aren’t cheap, the service should match. One of our group had 30 years of experience in being a chef and knows it just doesn’t take that long. It also seemed they didn’t really care there was a problem. They could have brought some bread or an appetiser as we we were all starving and starting to get annoyed, any acknowledgment would have been appreciated. We didn’t receive an apology just a half hearted mention that if you want deserts they are on us due to the delay. We want to go to local restaurants and support then, but when eating out is a luxury this is hugely disappointing and ruined our day. The only positive was the person working the the bar who tried to be all things, bar person, wait staff and table clearer. Wouldn’t recommend, I see a lot of positive reviews, the service appears hit and miss, if your into gambling play the odds, but personally I...
