Thai Yim Mount Waverley — Restaurant in Melbourne

I don’t normally write bad reviews, but for this, I HAD to. First off, both the curries i had (green and red) were wayyy too salty. There was absolutely no coconut flavour and the curry itself looked like it didn’t have any coconut cream/milk. The flavours were completely absent it tasted like MSG and salt. The vegetables were all wrong, both curries had capsicum, carrot and broccoli with peas, yes peas in a Thai curry, not even a hint of Thai basiI, or any other authentic flavours or ingredients. I traveled Thailand extensively and can definitively say this is the least authentic restaurant I have ever tried. I opened the package I ordered and found rice crackers thinking I received the wrong delivery.

Please, if the restaurant owners read this, sort out your food. It seems you have never been to Thailand or eaten a decent Thai dish. Do that first then open a Thai restaurant. This is Thai...

I ordered through the Thai Yim app (powered by Foodhub) on Saturday 24/2/24 at 9.22pm. Money was taken from my account and the order was confirmed.

The food never arrived and we waited till 11pm. After numerous unanswered phone calls we drove to the store only to find it closed.

Ended up buying Pizzas at the store next door.

Next morning they advised that they closed at 9pm that night and to contact through the app for a refund. No refund, no apologies or explanation offered.

Since then I've been trying to contact on the app, but they're help section is broken and I'm unable to contact anyone.

The restaurant won't help either. I don't understand how they can use a platform and then leave their customers in a lurch when something goes wrong. Highly...

I ordered Tom Yum Vegetarian Soup with Chicken Pad Thai on MenuLog, 2 hours before I picked it up. When I arrived, food was ready and hot. It wasn't the best Thai food I've eaten but it was good. Soup and Pad Thai were huge in portion with a generous amount of ingredients. However, the beef and noodles were slightly dry but it might be due to the dry weather. If you're a fan of spicy food but can't take too spicy, I would say choose the lowest level (mild) because the spicy level was bearable.
