Angies Fish Shop — Restaurant in Melbourne

This place was recommended by a work colleague, and they certainly did not disappoint me.

We purchased the minimum chips, some potato cakes, some blue grenadier, and a hamburger with the lot. Dinner is finished, and there is still plenty left.

The chips were the old-fashioned style we got in the nineties. Not those yellow coloured pre done chips. The burger was great with plenty of toppings. Lastly, the blue grenadiers were tender and delicate. It's not rubbery as I have had in the past.

I honestly give this a 4½ out of five, but it may actually hit that five mark.

Love this place! Surrey hills was my regular if somewhat out the way fish and chips for so many Years! After new owners ruined the quality I needed to try a new fish and chips shop as it is my Goto weekly treat, cant believe it took me so long to get here. This place is great, great service, good value and great quality. Parking can be a bit of a bummer but I recommend going outside of that peak hour dinner time, then parking is usually available nearby. I'm so glad I've switched to this shop and I hope the owners never change in...

I really like the fried things here, potato cakes, chips, fish, etc. but I always have an issue with The Lot Burger Combo. Every time I get this the meat pattie is very dry and burned. The last 2 times I got this, I've taken the meat out. My boyfriend got a steak sandwich last time we ordered. He said it was amazing, it was huge. I won't get the burger again but I'll definitely get other things that...
