The Coffee Club Café - Tarneit — Restaurant in Melbourne

We have been coming to the coffee club for quite some time now, however unfortunately the last couple of months it's really become a poor experience. Tables left dirty for lengthy periods of time, even though customers have left and the staff are just chatting behind the counter. Food left under the warmer lights waiting to be served for 5 mins plus (on several occasions). It's not the first time I've had to make mention to staff that the food has been sitting there for a while The inconsistency with menu items/meals is shocking. I always order the same menu item. However, every time it's served, there are missing items, or you get less than a quarter of an avocado, despite it being an avocado dish. When addressing the issue with staff, I'm told it's because they are understaffed in the kitchen. Very poor excuse, considering you're still paying the full amount for your dish. My wife & I have been going to this café for several years but our most recent experience was disappointing. We ordered drinks & a large bowl of plain chips with tomato sauce, something we'd had previously & enjoyed. This time, the usual plain thick chips (as shown on the menu picture) had changed into a version of McDonalds skinny fries, were seasoned with what tasted like chili powder & had enough salt to give the Dead Sea a run for its money. We would have sent them back but we didn't have time for them to be re-done

Staff are always efficient & friendly. Dirty dishes & glasses, including ours, were being collected promptly & tables cleaned at the same time. Unfortunately, the café suffers from the noise from a children's play area immediately alongside but, otherwise, is a pleasant place in which to relax

have been going here for a long time and it's gotten really bad over the years. got their pancake, ended up as two small piklet sized ones for 16.50 absolutely overpriced! then came again and got the chia pudding with mango and fruits, the granola was two clusters, and the chia brown and not yellow like the picture, the greek yogurt looked thrown on 😭! was with someone else who ordered the flat grill with chicken and we waited a total of 20 minutes for everything. and to top it all off the flatgrill was sitting on the pass for 5 minutes under the light and the staff didnt pick up the plate until the 3rd ring of the bell from the chefs... they were just talking and not paying attention

had another experience, wanted a spinach and ricotta roll to go, $19 for takeaway and it took 15 minutes to get it toasted 😭 no idea why it took so long! used to be great here...better off in...
