I recently dined at this establishment for a Father's Day breakfast, and I must regrettably share my experience, which fell far short of our expectations.
Our visit started with a lengthy wait that exceeded an hour, leaving us hungry and concerned. I approached the counter to inquire about the expected wait time as I needed to take medication before 12:00. To my astonishment, the manager, even before I could finish speaking, dismissively redirected me to a waiter with a remark that I "can't understand what she is saying." This response was not only unprofessional but also disheartening.
In response to my query, the manager later informed us that the wait time was approximately forty minutes, a crucial detail that should have been communicated to us upon our arrival or even before we were seated. Throughout our wait, I observed more patrons being admitted without any mention of the wait time.
The disappointment did not end with the service; the food, when it finally arrived, was also less than appetizing.
I understand that understaffing can pose difficulties, especially on a day as busy as Father's Day, but it is essential that customers are kept informed about the expected wait times. Politeness and attentive communication are paramount in the hospitality industry, even during peak periods.

Read moreI've been to this place once before but never have i ever been so disappointed by the service and food that was supplied. The we were ignored once seated for 10 minutes while upon a quick glance around the restaurant, there were plenty of staff standing around doing nothing. After eventually being recognised, my parter and i received our water which was accompanied by 2 dirty glasses. We were not happy. When the staff finally came over to take our order, it was done with no care, the staff did not offer nor mention sauce of any kind as i had ordered the rump which stated "sauce" on the menu. I had asked for the meat to be done medium however to my disappointment, it had come out well done. I had requested for the dish to be re-done and was told that there was none of that piece left however was offered another piece at a cheaper cost which did not phase me. again to have asked for the meat to be cooked medium, it had come out well done a second time. Being upset that the cook could not get a piece of meat cooked medium, my partner and i got up and left the newly cooked dish un touched. The waiter at this point walked right past our table only to ignore the fact we did not touch our food and had not questioned if everything was okay. In fact, he ignored everything and took my money and then on top of that wished me a great day. In my opinion, this is the WORST customer service i have received in any restaurant ever. Read moreToday the team at the Coffee Club Knox out did themselves. Today was a rather stressful day with the fire risk super high in the Yarra Ranges. As a results I took my two boys off the mountain for the day to be safe. This meant finding a nice spot to sit, have a snack and a coffee and finish up their homeschool work. So we headed upstairs at the Coffee Club and were met by Julie who looked after us on and off for the rest of the day. We let Julie know what was happening and she could not have been more helpful if she tried. She made sure that both boys were happy and comfortable, had access to power to finish their work and topped up their water all day. She even offered to watch our bags so we would not be carrying around heavy bags while I took them to the movies at one point. At no point did we feel like we had to hurry out or pressured to keep ordering even though we were there a little longer than most. As a result the boys were super keen to go back after I had taken them to the movies to kill some more time, as they felt relaxed and could have somewhere they felt safe and relaxed. The food and coffee were perfect.
