The Deli Coburg — Restaurant in Melbourne

Fantastic cafe. I can't comment on their deli produce, although that seems incredibly well-stocked and popular, but I can comment on the cafe. The food is made fresh and there is always something new to try. I am particularly fond of their toasties, pumpkin bread rolls and meatballs. In winter, they put on a range of homemade soups with crusty bread. Lots of lovely salads. The ladies are adorable and make the food with love. The coffee is superb. Looking forward to having a sit-down meal once again, when COVID-19 is over. For now, takeaway...

The staff are lovely however one of the owners/managers with thinning hair is really racist! I asked if a modification could be made to a sandwich by asking if something could be left out as I don’t eat it. The staff asked if it could be done and she tried to explain that it was for religious reasons and while he was looking at me he told the woman not to and told her he didn’t care about my dietary requirements. Since changing management the place has gone to the dogs....they have no idea about smallgoods.....bought San Daniele prosciutto...they did not pack it in layers....I've ended up with a lump impossible to separate....furthermore they did not bother to remove the outer coating before slicing.....absolutely disgusting....no wonder the place was empty....I should have taken notice that it was now being run by Indians....certainly...
