Awful.... my wife and I went there last night, Saturday January 28th 2017, as it is local to where we live and neither of us could be bothered cooking. First thing we noticed was some pretty awful music.... why restaurants need music going is beyond me... same with the television... you want to watch television, stay at home. The menu was extensive but the vegetarian options were few and very unimaginative. We ordered three items to share, told the waitress that we were sharing so everything can come at once and be put in the middle. Each item came out separately and when we asked for some plates as we were picking from the middle, that seemed to confuse the staff.... why would you need plates? seemed to be the look on their faces. The food was bland and lifeless.... their idea of a garden salad was a small bowl with a few leaves tossed in, two quarters of tomato, four small pieces of cucumber and about three tiny slivers of red onion.... is that value for almost $8.00? I think not. At no point did any of the staff ask if we needed anything, if everything was ok.... but what they did do and I personally find very irritating was that while we are still eating they are clearing plates away from our table. Very rude, very untrained of the staff... wait until we are finished... enquire if we want anything else and then, only then, clear the table of dirty plates. Needless to say I would not go back, staff were hopeless, food was overwhelmingly below par.... the only thing that had a high mark was the prices... they were very high for what you received. I only give one star as this system insists on a star rating.... my rating is NO STARS..... don't bother going there,...
Read moreEven after a long time, I still feel uneasy whenever I think about the restaurant. Although some time has passed, I feel it's important to share my experience. Last year, I was invited to an event hosted by a friend's family, where we had a meal. There were a total of 16 people, and unfortunately, 10 of us ended up with food poisoning, experiencing severe symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting. One of my friend's sons had to be taken away by ambulance, and another received a call from school to go to the emergency room. Aside from a few who only had mild diarrhea, the majority suffered quite a bit.
My friend, wanting to address this, went to the local shop to express our concerns and ask for a refund of the $600 we paid. However, instead of an apology, they claimed we must have brought the illness ourselves, and the manager even said we could consult a lawyer if we wanted. We reported the incident to the council and the health department, but by that afternoon, the restaurant suddenly closed and cleaned everything up. My friend didn't report it, thinking they were business people, but now deeply regrets that decision.
Although my friend chose not to leave a review, I felt it was necessary for the sake of others. The symptoms we experienced were very similar to those caused by salmonella. The manager's lack of professionalism and unsanitary conditions are concerning, and I absolutely do not recommend this place. My friend refuses to even look at that...
Read moreI'd give no stars if possible...... I booked a table for 6 for Mothers Day at 6pm. I asked at the time of booking if the entertainment book discount voucher was valid on Mothers day and after checking with her manager over the phone was told it was. Fast forward 2 weeks..... I turned up on Mothers day and mentioned I had a booking for 6 at 6pm. The manager told me he had no booking under my name. I was asked if I had the correct site and not the one at Cranbourne on numerous occasions and who I had spoken . I told him it was Casey that I had called. I was then asked if I had proof and to check my phone records. This happened at the front of the store in front of other customers and staff. I had the manager looking over my shoulder whilst I proceeded to type the phone number of the Casey store into my phone and see if it was the Casey store I had called. Who would have guessed but it was the Casey store that was called at 1:35pm on 27/4. I was then told that they were booked out and that they could maybe try to fit our group outside. I was then told that they wouldn't have told me that the entertainment book voucher was valid. So not only do I feel like I am being accused of lying in regards to making a booking I am also lying about the entertainment book voucher. I was then left to try book into somewhere else for Mothers Day on the day itself...... I have been to this outlet a few times in the past but will not go...
