I recently celebrated my 30th birthday at the Eureka. And what a night I had. The booking process was easy. It was mostly done through email and I received responses from Patrick always within 12 hours. And being a December birthday they don't charge a seasonal surcharge which I really appreciate. On the night all the staff were amazing. They accommodated every request we had, made sure everything was going well and most importantly they were friendly and made a killer G&T. The food platters were delicious and beyond decent sizes for the price. I definitely over ordered. The cauliflower and sweet potato were a hit with everyone. I had my party in the beer garden. The space itself has enough room for about 40 people without feeling small but if you had less people it wouldn't feel big either. You can decorate it however you want. I just used balloons and the venue allowed me have them delivered directly there so I didn't have to try and transport them in my Nissan micra. As for music they have speaker for your phone to plug into to which was enough for guests to have a good dance. Overall a good night had by all.I do not have a bad word to say. The team at Eureka Hotel Richmond are incredible. We recently hosted my husband's band launch there, and from start to finish the service was great. Communicating with Pat over email was easy, he responded quickly and provided clear and useful information. Setting up on the day was easy, the staff couldn't do enough to help us (including throwing in a few free drinks while setting up; thank you Steve). Service on the night was also outstanding. The best thing about Eureka is the flexibility. They have incredible function spaces and allow you to use the space however you see fit. Highly recommended....

Harry Potter Trivia...There was no vegetarian meal options (only wedges and nachos) my friend said the beef burger was very average and didn't finish it. The themed drinks a bit meh however staff were good. The Venue could not have fit any more people in if they tried, I wouldn't want to have to exit in a hurry because it would be impossible with no space left for walk ways. The event organiser was a bit slack with poorly worded questions, spelling errors ect. Prizes should be divisible among the whole table as well, one board game for a table of 10 to fight over isn't...
