Fantastic experience... ❤️
For those who don't know what Khichdi is: it's one of the delicacies of rice, with various veggies and lentils, rich in different spices and flavours.. and you don't need to order anything extra to go with it.. just eat it as is..
This food truck has become one of my favourites...
We've tried quite a few Khichdi here. Palak paneer Khichdi, daal tadka Khichdi, kaju lahsaniya Khichdi, schezwan Khichdi, plain Khichdi.. Everything was amazing.. 👌👌 Daal Tadka Khichdi is the best of all..
The owner named Amit Patel is a nice guy too.. he made a point to personally come to us and seek feedback about our experience..
The other staff members are excellent too... Always smiling, polite and welcoming.. 👍
I'll be trying...
Read moreThe Matka Khichadi at Khau Galli is a gem for lovers of traditional Indian comfort food. I’m impressed that it serves Khichadi and rice varieties from across India, all cooked and served in clay pots, which enhances the flavor and authenticity of every dish. The taste is rich, balanced, and truly reminiscent of home-style cooking, making it a rare find for those who appreciate well-made, wholesome meals. Beyond the flavors, the attention to cleanliness and hygiene is commendable—the presentation is neat, and the setup is well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Whether you’re after a simple, nourishing bowl of khichadi or a more indulgent rice dish, The Matka Khichadi delivers with authenticity and care, making it a must-try...
Read moreThe guys at the truck were super accomodating and kind. I had ordered a day prior to pickup for 5.15 and they only open at 5 so didn’t have much time to prepare but still did a good enough job to get my order ready in 10 mins. I wouldn’t say they compromised on the taste given the amount of time but I guess if I had given them more time, it’d be even tastier. I’m going to try more of their dishes for sure maybe not a takeaway that time. The staff are really kind which I’m reiterating. I tried their dal tadka khichdi and dum biryani. The khichdi was just fabb chefs kiss. Although their dum biryani was tasty but was more like fried rice or pulao. The only complain I have is with the quantity. It’s a bit too less...
