The Nourish Eatery - Cafe & Restaurant Sunbury — Restaurant in Melbourne

My visit to Nourish Eatery for a 'veggie big breakfast' left me genuinely disappointed. The meal started off on the wrong foot, when I was served just one small, sad piece of extremely stale, pale sourdough with poached eggs that were hard-boiled. The baked beans tasted exactly like the canned ones, oddly sweet which was a letdown. The only redeeming feature was the mushrooms, though I was given a measly amount.

Beyond the taste, the food was served lukewarm/cold. What concerned me most was getting a stomachache shortly after, with nothing else consumed before or after, which made me question the freshness of the ingredients. I don't often go out of my way to write negative reviews, but this experience truly compelled me to.

Update: Thank you for your reply. I'd like to clarify a few things regarding my visit.

My friend said it was ‘good’ but that didn't reflect my experience at all.

As for the "empty" plate, I finished as much as I could despite not enjoying it- I don't like to waste food or my money.

My friend and I chose to have our Christmas catch up here , The girl serving us had little to no enthusiasm, no smiles, or making us feel welcome I ordered the Greek Salad, it was terrible No fresh succulent ingredients, looked like last dinners left over My friend was going to order the Calamari but when we saw it all frozen in the freezer on the way to the loo she chose to just go with chips We where left with dirty plates until we left , no one offered us more drinks, coffee or anything else Unfortunately it seems the new owners still don’t know how to train their staff and how important friendly customer service is A little chat goes a long way , also a smile

I would strongly recommend to remove the freezer unit from public view as no one wants to see all the frozen food

Terrible service… booked a table, sat waiting to order for 30minutes, asked to be served and were told he would be back in a minute to take our order but we would be waiting a while for our food which we said was fine we would just like to order a drink whilst waiting.. The waiter continued to do other things and never came back to take our order. After a further 10 minutes we chose to leave.. he watched us walk out and didn’t even bother to apologise..
