What IS IT with this Cafe?????? I've been there oh... ten, twelve times, and, every second time I go there it is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! It can either be GREAT, or.. NOT very good AT ALL depending on the day. I don't know whether it is a staffing or a chef issue or what, but very very inconsistent!

One time I went there ... I ordered Smashed Avo... It came out and I swear it was on the LARGEST PLATE and was the BIGGEST SERVE I have ever had. TWO poached eggs TWO pieces of beautiful SD toast plate half FILLED with the smashed avo... absolutely stunning!

Then, I take my friends there bragging about the best breakfast place I have found in Preston, Northcote and all in between. Smashed avo comes out... My friend looks at me like I was absolutely lying.

Then... TODAY...... OMG! Half plate! ONE slice of toast NO egg.. at ALL and a piece of that lettuce selection that comes outa the Coles plastic bag and... COL.. oh, ok more fairly put extremely MILDLY warm coffee!!!!!!!

Go there my friends... for either the BEST breakfast you have ever had or... a very very sad little thing which is close to the worst. Juuust depends on the day that is all.

I reckon they need more...

I ordered via uber eat, the beans and bacon where very cold to eat! When you heat up beans, they don't go cold easily. If you are going to serve beans in your premises, I would recommend you heat them up sufficiently, not with a microwave, but sufficiently on the stove, these beans are cold and not good to eat, if there's any food that is un pleasant to eat cold, it's beans. The food looks good and tasty. Such a let down that you guys use a microwave and it let's the whole dish down. The chef cannot call himself a chef if he's using a microwave. He's obviously someone who's not familiar with beans. Get a chef who can actually cook and cares about the quality of the food. By reading your other 1 star reviews I can see how you have a long way to go, please hire a real cook who can take care of the kitchen. The owners should be completely shamed, we should Chuck our cold items back at them....paid $31 for cold...

Lovely food and quick service. Visit Regularly 5 Stars āļø I’ve Changed my Rating to 1 āļø as today I went and the people serving got my order wrong. Then argued with me that i didn’t order that. So I ordered it again and wrong order came out. I just accepted it, as I couldn’t be bothered anymore and was short on time. It was mistake after mistake. The usually lady that owns the place wasn’t there. Lost my business and I go during the week also with work colleges. Won’t be...

I’ve been here a few times now for dine-in. I’ve had the steak sandwich (delicious) Ruben sandwich (pretty good). My favourite is their salmon eggs Benedict - I’ve got to say, the portion size is very decent. Heaps of salmon, two eggs, lots of avocado. I actually couldn’t finish it. Full of flavour too. Honestly this dish is one of the best breakfasts on High St. Service is always friendly too. One of my go-to spots.

I’m actually a bit disappointed with the food. THE coffee and omelette were super on point and extremely tasty… However, the Cod liver on toast on was an utter disappointment for what it was worth... Not only, it had missing ingredients from the menu Eg.…Gilled Mushrooms, Bocconcini. the salad leaves were dry.. I felt like we were served Cod liver directly out of a tin can from ALDI….

Small little cafe run by two extremely polite well mannered staff members. Food portion was extremely generous, unlike most other places where they charge you a bomb for a small plate of meal. There in front and rear seating, closer to nature type of setting. Pricing is also very reasonable. All in all, it was a good eating experience and we will definitely go back. Would recommend!!
